Pick-N-Pluck Foam Tip
If you ever find yourself needing to make a precision-cut insert for your Pelican case from the supplied pick-n-pluck foam, just follow this handy trick:

Put the piece of foam that you will cut into a freezer! Leave it in the freezer for about 2 hours or until it's thoroughly frozen. With a sharp blade or serrated knife, you can now cut the foam as precisely as you need!!

Have a handy tip or trick for a Pelican case? We'd love to hear about it!!

Pick-N-Pluck Foam Tip
If you ever find yourself needing to make an insert for your equipment, make sure to cut out a small part of the foam on one side so you can get your hands around your equipment to pull it out of the foam. Make sure that the equipment fits snugly into the foam so it does not move around, for maximum protection!

Common Case Uses

What are some of the most common things people use their cases for?

Being in the case business, we see a LOT of different things being put in to our cases. From complicated electronics, to personal documents, to guns, we've seen it all! But if you've never owned a case, you may be wondering what the most common uses for them are...

Camera Case
Many photographers use Pelican cases to hold their various lenses, cameras, flashes, and other accessories. The case shown is a Pelican 1600 case which fits several lenses and attachments nicely. The cases protect the cameras from dust, water, and also cushion them against shocks/vibrations.

Laptop Case
Many people use Pelican cases to hold their laptops and accessories. The case shown is a Pelican 1440CC2 case which is configured specifically for laptops. The cases protect the computer from dust, water, and also cushion them against shocks/vibrations.

IPod Case
Many people use IPods and MP3 players which is why it makes sense to have a case that is made just for that. The case shown is a Pelican i1010 case which is configured specifically for IPods. It even has an external headphone jack so you can listen to your player and have it protected at the same time.

I hadn't realized it till solxdier there said so, but you used a lot of interesting graphic modules and they do set off the content nicely.

I have two wonderful old AKG mics and the case they came in is still good, but the foam inside has crumbled to disgusting dust and I can't let my mics be in contact with it any more.
