Helpful Information For Your Orlando Florida Vacation

Orlando Attraction Ticket Packages

So many families call our office (it is usually the mom who gets the task of planning the family vacation to Orlando) stating they have a week to spend in Orlando and do we have any recommendations as to how to spend it.

You first need to consider the people in your group. Their ages & interests. Of course the Orlando parks are family oriented but some are more geared towards older kids than younger kids.

Let's take a look at the two parks at Universal Studios Resort. The two are Universal Studios Orlando and Islands of Adventure. Universal Studios rides are designed to make you feel like you are on a thrill ride whereas Islands of Adventure's rides are thrill rides. They have some of the best roller-coasters around.

So Universal Studios Orlando's rides are more 'virtual' base versus the 'thrown into your seat'rides of Islands of Adventure, making Universal Studios more for little kids.

What about the Walt Disney World Resort? Well, Disney World has 4 parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios & Disney's Animal Kingdom. All 4 parks have attractions for the little ones.

So back to "We have a week to spend in Orlando".

Disney World has 4 parks and Universal Studios has 2. We tell folks, if you are bringing small children and haven't been to Disney World for a while or this is your first time, the get a 4 day base ticket and not a hopper. The base ticket gives you a park per day (perfect for those who want to take their time) whereas the hopper is for those who want to "hop" visiting multiple parks per day.

Universal Studios has available the '1 day 2 park'ticket and the '7 day 2 park ticket'. Both are hoppers so we recommend the 7 day ticket (roughly $40 more than the 1 day ticket)to those needing more time.

So we now have used anywhere from 5 to 6 days for the theme parks. What about the 7th day? Sea World Orlando! This park has lots of shows done by the animals (great for little kis and everyone)and a few thrill rides.

There you have it! A week spent in Orlando at the theme parks!
