Oscar Castro-Neves: The Sound of Brazil

Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Oscar Castro-Neves is an internationally renowned guitarist, arranger, and composer. By the age of 16, he had a national hit called Chora Tua Tristeza. He was a major player in the Bossa Nova movement, and has worked with a long list of musical legends, including Stan Getz, Sergio Mendes, Frank Sinatra, Yo-Yo Ma, Barbra Streisand, Stevie Wonder, Lee Ritenour, Toots Thielemans, and John Klemmer. Oscar has also worked as an orchestrator for several feature films, including Blame it on Rio and Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.
