Founded in 1918, GM Canada GM has historically been one of the largest and most powerful corporations in Canada.General Motors Canada opened its new head office landmark on the shore of Lake Ontario in 1989.
The automobile industry,has always been at the forefront of Oshawa's economy. Oshawa owes a lot to Mr.Sam McLaughlin for making the car industry what it is in Canada now.

The Oshawa Generals are a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League.
They are one of the most successful franchises in Canadian Hockey League history.
Famous alumni of the Generals include Bobby Orr and Alex Delvecchio, Eric Lindros, Rick Middleton and Tony Tanti. Current NHLers Marc Savard, Jason Arnott and Ben Eager also played in Oshawa.

A Welcome Addition To Oshawa Health Care
The Cancer Centre is providing radiation therapy,
chemotherapy, supportive and palliative care, surgical oncology, prevention,
screening, early detection and cancer genetics, as well as a full range of
services to help patients and their families.
Some of the services include education, pain management, pharmacy,
nutrition, support groups, volunteers, counselling and much more.
