Oslo Press started when my then fiance Jen and I could not find wedding invitations that fit our sense of style and our obsession with materials. As Jen was studying Interior Design, and I was completing my Master's degree in Industrial Design, we decided we could make our own. Jen provided the inspiration, graphics, and wording. I handled the fine text editing, materials sourcing, and production. The result was this contemporary wedding invitation.

We received such positive feedback about our designs that we decided to write up a business plan to see if maybe this could be our niche. After that was done, all signs still pointed to "go" and so we did. Oslo Press was born from us designing a product to fit our own need, and now we are offering our design and production services to others.

We have successfully combined new and old technologies in our production process. Laser Engraving is a relatively new technology that allows us to make elegant reliefs and cuts into wood veneer. Letterpress printing is the oldest form of printing known to man, where a raised surface is used to press ink into the paper. While the methods may be disparate, the effect is not. Both wooden invitation and paper accessories have a relief image of a modern, contemporary, or even traditional design.
