Oster Convection Oven 6058 | Oster Convection Toaster Oven Review

I received an Oster Convection Oven 6058 as a gift. I was surprised; I didn't ask for it and didn't even think I needed one. It was from my mother-in-law, who felt she knew what I would need. I thanked her and thought, forget it, I'll never use it. Well, although I won't tell her this, I really do love that thing. My kids were amazed by it, so they found reasons to use it every day. I was surprised how convenient it really was, even for a family of 5.

Is it perfect...Well, no it is not. Here is my Oster Convection Oven 6058 Review:

• It is very easy to use, my kids figured it out day 1

• It is quiet when it's on

• It does not heat up my house when we use it

• Its quiet and large, I love it for reheating

• Perfect for kids food too, like chicken nuggets which don't turn out great in the microwave. We also do toasted sandwiches in this. They turn out very good!

• I don't have to preheat and food is done quicker

Continuing, Oster Convection Oven 6058 Review - Why it's not Perfect

• With kids around, I was surprised that toaster ovens get hot on the outside. They know not to touch it

• The cord is short, and that was a bit of a problem where I wanted to put it. I didn't want an extension cord there, so I moved it

• You only get one pan with it, so I did buy another. Would be nice if you got two

I really have enjoyed owning the Oster Convection oven 6058 and it does work great. It's quick and easy and really convenient for a family. You can set it to cook for 15 minutes and it turns itself off after 15 minutes, which is cool! As far as I'm concerned, the good far outweighs the bad. It's a definite value.

So overall, I do love this thing and can't believe my mother-in-law thought of it. Maybe she really does like me!

This has worked wonderfully for our family of six. We recently made the decision to discontinue using a microwave to heat and reheat foods. So I chose to go the convection toaster oven route. It is not only a beautifully designed addition to our kitchen, but it functions extremely well. The simplicity of the dials offers todays users a breathe of fresh air in allowing the use of the convection oven without having to know all the different buttons and settings that you would have with most digital things today. If you are looking for beautiful design, great performance and ease of function, then I would highly recommend getting the Oster 6297 Convection Toaster Oven.

I've owned this wonderful Convection Toaster oven for quite a while and due to my own stupidity (I placed a foil wrapped potato in it) The handle melted off. I called the company, knowing that my warranty had already expired to see what they could do for me. They are sending me a new one, free of cost AND a shipping label to send my ruined on back to them. Wonderful service!
