    Nice lens with good information! I learned to use spirit boards with my Dad and Grandmother, and my kids learned from my hubbie and me. It's good to meet more people who use these boards respectfully, lovingly, and without...ummm...hysteria! Hee! Thankyou for being here.

    I'm a Pagan Witch 17 years of age and I've used the spirit board numerous times. It's a very great way to contact a loved one but beware a spirit can impersonate your loved one. so ask it a question only they and you would know. also, A spirit can cannot possess you unless you willingly give your person as a vessel. I've seen this done in my coven, for that I left the circle and never returned to the coven again..One of the people who let the spirit take their body is now in a metal institution. But don't let my story scare you. Only idiots who mock and tease the spirit can be harmed. Please use with care. Try wearing rosemary essential oil and burn frankencense and dragons blood.

    Many blessings, and oh,,No you can't contact the devil, and yes it can be used by yourself alone, it seems the people who contact the "devil" are christians..merely a scare tactic..a good one but not original.

    So, take heed and play nice, I mean..you wouldn't want some fuck head 13 year old kid mocking you in death would you?

    i have operated the ouija board in the midnight durin 12.15am and when started that is 12minutes later my finger started to tingle on the planchette and the movement of my finger on the planchette was slow as i felt some light energy making it move as i was alone i got fewer results so i m interestd in having a companion in order get accurate result so interestd person is welcome to join or contact me to communicative mode here is my mail id eelson97@yahoo.com So i await.

    I've tried the Ouija board and all it spelled out seemed to be scrambled messages with the exception of yes, no, and goodbye. Is there any way to make them speak clearer or are these codes or something?

    Ask specific questions... Make them feel like your truly INTERESTED in the answers.

    i dont go into anything that has to do with the occult, and this board is something that i somewhat want to try. some part of me wants to try it, but the rest of me is saying no. and also, i was wondering, what can you use to point out the words or numbers? besides a magnifying glass?

    is there a saying or some kinda spell we say befor starting to play??? like something we call the spirits with??

    You may use a ritual (like candle lighting), a spell or prayer before you begin, but you do not have to. To begin a session, it is similar to using a phone to the spirit realm, You can touch hello, and then move the planchette in a circular motion on the board until a reply comes, or you can ask for a specific spirit and wait to see if you get anything. You should be focusing your thoughts on the questions you want answered or spirit you wish to hear from. The movement in circles on the board, helps raise energy.     i used a board in a gravyard on top of a grave stone when i was a kid, i should say me and a friend jordan, as we were using it, i believe i saw a girl in white with long brown hair, i was to scared to dio anything else, it felt like there were lots of people sourrounding me, i ran so fast, i didn,t stop the session to however i was talking to i just grabbed the board and ran, that was at least 12 years ago, am i gonna be ok or should i expect something

    Areas of war have a lot of tragedy, anger, and confusion from those that pass to the other side. I would advise you to take precautions, and realize that those that may contact you from the other side might confused or possibly very angry. Those that are angry and have taken the time to learn how to manifest their abilities could "push the limits" between the barrier of our world and theirs.

    For those spirits fear is often the catalyst that provides them the "energy" to manifest themselves. The more afraid they make you they more they can actually do, whether that be their ability to show themselves, speak, makes sounds, or move things. Control the fear, and your control their ability to manifest.

    Guides often work in the background, sometimes never revealing themselves. It just may be that your guide has not felt the need to reveal his or herself.

    Give it time, pay attention to everything around you, because you guide me also be reaching out to you and you are overlooking it. I once spent a whole year watching the cardinals fly up to my window only to eventually open my self to the animal spirit guide of the cardinal.

    Do you have any tips on contacting your spirit guide? All the spirits that contact me are rather mischevous/tricksters and I'm trying to contact one with good intentions, it doesnt seem to be working.

    My self and two Friends did a Spirit Board a few Nights back in the early Hours of the Night. We had an amazing time we contacted a number of Spirits and had an eventful night with our Fire place playing up the Radio coming on and off and many magnificent energys through out. My friend who lost her Baby a few years back had the best expirience when he came through. What a night!!!!. Alot of people who i have told some times go funny as they say you dont know what your dealing with. But i would advise any 1 to have a go. Thankyou Mick

    Try a different location. There may be no spirits or at least any with a message to give that are near. Also give it time, maybe the spirits need to learn more about you.

    It hasn't been working for me... my friends and I have been trying to use it for a little while but we can't get it to work!

    And the weird thing is that we used a homemade Quija board a few years ago and it did work.... do you have any advice?

    Banish the spirit, it can only do to you what you allow it too. Banishing can be successful either by word, ritual, or even focus that you put into it. I would also advise reading my lenses on Working with Thought Form Identities at http://www.squidoo.com/thoughtform and Poltergeists at http://www.squidoo.com/poltergeists Those two lense may provide more insight about the visitor you are having, and those types tend to feed off of fear, just don't give them what they want.

    For a long time my girlfriends house has been the scene of some strange stuff... footsteps at night, lights turning on and off, my daughter seemingly "tracking" something round the room and long drawn out scratching from within the walls. used a home made board to attempt to talk and the only words we could get from the spirit were "eyes" and "joker" we asked permission to leave but the spirit replied "no" each time we asked.My partner freaked and let go of the glass. since then the noise and the quite frankly F*c^i"g scary presence has increased. Neither of us want to be in there anymore. Please anyone HELP!!! explainations? advice? regards K

    There are good people just as there are bad people. It is all about the choices we make. Dimensional contact is very limited and can only interact to the limits we allow them. Granted there are bad spirits and I choose to commune with a better quality of those that have passed or guides from the other side. And just like if I meet a criminal, I will call the police, I am prepared to call up my guides and banish negative spirits.

    The church over 2000 years has done an awesome job to keep people afraid of the unknown. Stop letting fear be the ruler of your mind. Stop letting the corrupt indoctrination of the church to be your guide.

    Ouija boards are in fact an opening door into the summoning of spirits past into the astroplane of death. Be careful, they may not know they are dead
    and long for attention.You think its cool and fun to summon the dead until they want something from you - and you must not ignore them! Make sure whatever or whoever you invoke you are ready to deal with it/or them. What you don't know can indeed hurt you.

    At the close of your session thank the spirit / guide for their time and place the pointer on the good bye and say good bye.
