Our "Dora the Explora"

This lens is going to be all about our littl girl "Amy". She is 18months old at the moment. She absolutely loves Dora the Explora !!! She is talking more each day and some of the clearest words are "Dora" and "Back pack". To any other parents out there that have toddlers you will apreciate it when I say TV is a god send. No, only kidding !! Sometimes you need a break and anything go's. Here's to "Dora the Explora" who keeps me sane....

what Amy got up to today,

2nd April 2007

I worked today and left at 6.30 am to go to a Nursing Home. I finished at 3.30, met my husband at his work to take the kids. We drove to the swimming centre for my sons swimming lesson at 4.30. Amy shouted and sang at top volume all the way there. yelling "ball, ball, and car, car" all the way...I had a head ache by the time I got there and my son was blocking his ears. She is so funny, gotta laugh.
she complained the whole time there about being in the pram. Ifed her a tin of food and she sneezed half way and I got baby food sprayed all over my face and glasses.
We all had a bath but before amy got in she weed all over the floor and slipped in it. after she stopped crying she was looking at me like I DID IT..
Then finally after 2 bottles she went to sleep. Its quiet now so that is nice...see what tomorrow brings !!!

3rd April 2007

I worked till 12.30, so I was home before amy woke up. My husband said Amy was in a destructive mood when going across to the school. grabbing at bark chips, running thru the flower beds, running the wrong way etc. Then he took Amy down to the shop to buy some nappies and she was screaming and arching her back when being put into the pram. It's really embarrasing when a child throws a tantrum in public.
We were very lucky with our son, who is Ashley and he is 8yrs old, he was really good, never ran off, no tantrums etc and is still the sweetest boy. Maybe that is why Amy has shocked me into writing this lens !!!!!!
The arfternoon was a winge, Amy is cutting 4 EYE teeth and has a sore bottom. Also we had to check everyones hair for nits which didnt go down well with the little miss...Tomorrow I have a day off and my husband works the day shift, so that will be interesting !! Only 1 and a half weeks to go till school holidays...easter is also in there. Kids seem to be home more than they are at school lately.
Well, see what my lovely day off brings, probably washing folding and cleaning..as usual.

9th April.

Hi It's been a few days since I got to write here, really wish I could spend all day in front of the computor but I have to work in there and keep up with the house and kids.
HAPPY EASTER TO ALL. We have HEAPS of chocolate eggs and other funny shapes around here.
We had our visit from easter bunny early on the friday..!! I had to work a few days over the weekend so the furry bunny came early for us.
Amy ate a heap of chocolate on friday and did 6 POO"S the next day...It was all for my husband too as I was at work. I TIMED IT WELL!!!
I worked in a nursing home yesterday that had a mother cat and all her kittens in the roof, we could here them meowing all day long, so that was interesting!!! Not.
The last few evenings have been a bit better in the witching hour as I have been giving Amy the BRAUER (natural medicine) CALM and its quite good. So that is a plug for the BRAUER company right there hay!!!
Helps to soothe irritable or restless children, particularly helpful during teething and for the relief of sleeplessness.Well one night she slept thru but last night she woke a couple of times. It was warmer last night tho and that doesn't help. Anyway her behaviour has been heaps better in the evening and I didnt drink as much WINE the last 2 nights !!! She is so cute tho. I am charging my camera batteries and will down load some easter photos and put them on here soon. These lenses are great fun. Until next time..have a great day.

14th April.

Time flies, fancy being 14th april already. Its now school holidays in SA !!!! I have worked a bit and cleaned up the house. You should see what the kids do to my house !!! I have posted a photo of Amy. She got a bucket of easter eggs and of course the bucket was "Dore the Explora" Amy loved it !!!
We have lots of chocolate around here still, amazing as I like a bit of choc myself.
I will try and get 2 pictures in. the other is Amy yesterday with her yogurt....IT WAS EVERYWHERE !!!!
I enjoy cleaning ,dont you? Let me know what you would rather do instead of cleaning after the kids.. till next time.

WHAT AMY DID YESTERDAY

what a mess...

"Look everyone...yogurt is fun to play with..mum isn't happy tho.."

2nd MAY 2007

Well can you believe it, its MAY...time goes quick. Amy got her 18 month old vacinations last week, poor love. I thought she would cry the place down, but instead she tried to reach around with her furtherest hand to grab the needle, (stoped her of course) then she said "um a nah nah, no, no," and glared at the nurse. Then she frowned at me, wiggled to get down and ran off to find the toys I had just taken her away from !!!
I was amazed that she didnt really care. Meanwhile a 4 YEAR old boy WAS STILL CRYING outside and he had been jabbed 2 children before amy! Girls are tougher I reackon. My son didnt like it one bit, but Amy seems ok with most things.
Last week she had a bad day. All these things happened in the course of one day:
1) Banged and cut her lip on the end of our bed while jumping.
2)took the skin of the end of her toe on a rock at the beach
3)got hit in the nose by a swinging chair and
4) had been bitten by a mozzie 6 times on the legs..
Poor Amy was in the wars that day.
Have to go to work tomorrow, have been really busy lately, never get enough computor time. School is back, all the mums say "YAY"..any way must go, gotta clean something.!!!!!!!!

SAT 5th May 2007

Poor Amy had her imunisation a few weeks ago and with the chicken pox vaccine it can show up after quite awhile. We have had a few nights now of high temps and feeling misserable. We have used 2 baby bottles of panadol drops! It's not fun, up for all hours and having to go to work the same day. I was really tired and stayed up about 5 mins after the kids went to sleep. I hope she feels better soon. She is also cutting 4 eye teeth all at the same time! Bless teething. I am getting right into looking at other peoples lenses, its great. Off I go to see the world, bye.

Nice lens. My 1.5 year old son, Ryan, loves Dora and Diego and besides papa and mama and a few other words, he starts smiling and dancing when Dora comes on and says backpack and map. I'm giving you 5 stars.
