Our Health Co-op Rocks!
My husband and I love Our Health Co-op. We get all of our vitamins and supplements from them, and we have been pleased with their very reasonable prices, the excellent quality and the top-notch customer service. Our Health Co-op has independent laboratories regularly test their formulations to make sure that the products contain what the labels say they contain, and in correct amount. Those lab reports are available on the website. Only a company truly proud of its products would make such testing readily available, and this is only one of the reasons that we love Our Health Co-op!
Located in West Palm Beach, Florida, Our Health Co-op offers secure online ordering and fast shipping. When we lived in Florida, we often received our items the very next day. Even here in North Carolina, they have gotten them to us within two or three days.
Whether you already take vitamins and supplements or you are trying to decide if you should, consider Our Health Co-op for almost all your vitamin and supplement needs.

Our Health Co-op: A company with integrity
It's about integrity
Let me tell you a story. I decided a few weeks ago that I wanted to create a lens to highlight Our Health Coop because I really believe in the company and in their products. I emailed them to let them know what I was doing and to ask if they could share with me any images for the lens. I made clear in my email that in no way was I expecting to make any money doing this; I just wanted to promote them. The CEO of the company, Cindy Marteney, emailed back and was thrilled that I would be making a lens about them. She forwarded my email to the Marketing Director, Tess Beasley and also to Stephen Fason, whose title I do not know.Stephen contacted me with an offer to become an affiliate. It seems they were quietly starting an affiliate program. I then felt kind of awkward, but I choose to view it as an honor in return for sincere promotion. I've emailed back and forth with Tess several times, I have all the images I need, and I am excited to be finally set up as an affiliate, but I more excited to tell you all about these products.
I tell you this story because I think it says something about the people who conceived of and run Our Health Coop. I went to them not looking for any sort of compensation, but they gave it freely. These are good folks. I hope you will try their products; I think you will be completely satisfied.
Oh, and that cat up there? That's Guido, the Voice of Our Health Co-op. Guido the Kat writes the email newsletter. You can sign up here.

Learn a bit about the supplements that my husband and I take. Click the pictures to order at the Our Health Co-op website.
I take fish oil religiously. I have a bit of a heart flutter on occasion, and taking fish oil regularly seriously reduces the frequency of these episodes. Fish oil is also great for alleviating arthritic symptoms, and it provides intestinal and skin support. Some studies have even linked consumption of oils from cold water fish to better moods. Our Health Co-op sells their high quality, lab tested fish oil in bottles of 60 for $2.93 and bottles of 180 for $7.95.
I take cinnamon to help regulate my blood sugar. I am not diabetic, or even pre-diabetic, but my fasting blood glucose level is almost always high, and it can swing widely (I know, because I had to do that test where you have to drink the really sweet stuff and then have your blood taken four times). Here is just an excerpt from the product description on the website: "Cinnamon has most recently been studied for supporting healthy blood sugar levels in Type II diabetics. The active ingredient in cinnamon includes the chemical hydroxychalcone, which is thought to enhance the effect of insulin. More specifically, hydroxychalcone is thought to spur insulin receptors to increase insulin sensitivity and help promote glucose uptake into cells and tissues." And, yes, it's just like cooking cinnamon, but at $2.43 for 120 capsules, I might start buying it exclusively from Our Health Co-op, opening the capsules and using it in cooking!
From the website: "Guggul Plus is an herbal formula supporting normal cholesterol levels, circulation and cardiovascular health. Active ingredients include Guggul Extracts, Hawthorne Berry and Policosanol." I first looked at the Guggul because of the name, I must admit. But then, I read that Guggul can help to lower bad cholesterol, and I added it to my list of supplements. I have been very pleased. While my overall cholesterol number is fairly high, my doctor is not concerned because my LDL cholesterol level is low. I am sold on Guggul Plus. One of the more expensive supplements, at $18.75 for 120 tablets, it still is a bargain since regular retail is almost $40.00!
Our Health Co-op's Saw Palmetto comes with added extracts of pumpkin seed oil, Pygeum Africanum and Urva Ursi. All of these ingredients work together to support prostate health. My husband is a big fan of Our Health Co-op's Saw Palmetto. $10.88 for 90 soft gels compares favorably to a retail value of $22.00.

Free to Our Friends In Need Program
Our Health Co-op Cares about its members
By now, I hope you are coming to the realization that Our Health Co-op is a different kind of company. Aside from their high quality, their reasonable prices, their excellent customer service and any number of other positives, I think that the aspect of the company that best defines their vision is their Free to Our Friends in Need program, or Free to the Poor, for short. The members of Our Health Co-op are a community, and as such, they help each other when they need it. Every time you place an order, you can contribute money to the Free to the Poor program. You may contribute as little as $1.00, or as much as you would like. Then, when another member nominates someone who truly cannot afford the supplements, even at low prices, Our Health Co-op provides the nominee with the vitamins and supplements they need. This is truly a model not only of "paying it forward," but of Community at its best.

- Just opened one of their bottles of "60 tablets". Looked way way short. Only 49 tablets. Opened another and only 59 tablets. What a ripoff! I am going to be very very careful in ordering from this outfit again. My goodness, what drug company shorts you? Never saw this occur before. Makes one antsy about the accuracy of their lab assays.

- Unfortunately, even if you try to eat right, unless you can get a wide variety of locally grown, chemical-free foods picked when properly ripened, you may not be getting all the nutrition you should be.
The fresh fruits & veggies available are often picked before ripe so they can survive storage and shipping, and don't have all the nutritional value that they should.
Supplements are a good way to make sure you are getting what you need on a regular basis.
