Our Troops Need Your Support
I support our troops who are serving their country in the armed forces. "Give honor to whom honor is due." I can't think of anyone more deserving of our honor than our Troops who are serving our country of the United States, or our Veterans who are or did serve in the armed forces, including our war dead and those that died in boot camp training. - Introduce yourself in the guest book. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard... If you don't stand behind our troops, you are welcome to stand in front of them! I love this land! - I love the men and women in the armed forces. Thank you for what you do for us.
Shelly Wrote This In The Guest Book: "I just realized I could mention a veteran here that I know just a little bit. Joe Gomer was one of the fighter pilots of the Tuskeegee Airmen which was comprised of African Americans in WWII--the 332 Fighter Group of the US Army Aircorps. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in March 2007 for that service. He also served in Korea and Viet Nam. Now he is 87 and this year was invited to attend the presidential inauguration, yes he attended! What an honor! I've chatted with his wife, Liz over the years as we've run into each other shopping and that's how I met Joe. This is a great Slogan "Support Our Troops"
Support Our Troops is a slogan commonly used in the United States and in Canada in reference to each country's military forces or troops. The slogan has been used during the recent wars.The slogan is sometimes seen as over generalized because of complex issues in military battles. For example, an individual may want to support personnel in the military but not the current respective government's foreign policy.
I do not support the respective government's foreign policies, never have and at best, it may be that I never will. I do however support our troops and veterans who have been alluded into wars that have cost them and their families so much.
I support those that are gung-ho and always will be because of their own patriotism and calling, without them who would there be to lead and protect our troops in battle. Their experience as veterans of war is priceless.

*Troops have often times not been honored properly.

He has a blog there about his dad, LeVerne who passed away on May 31, 2009 in his home, at the age of 94. He was a sportsman who loved fishing and guiding, and was a trapper and craftsman of wood. He will be greatly missed!

Top 10 things to send to our troops!
Think of the smiles that will come on the faces of the troop that gets a care package.
1. Homemade brownies, soft cookies, fudge, bars. Anything that will remind the troop of home will make them real happy.2. Snacks such as trail mixes with dried fruits and berries and nuts.
3. DEET insect repellents.
4. White crew socks.
5. Packaged coffees.
6. A photo of yourself and a handwritten note of appreciation and encouragement.
7. Hard candies to be given out to children in cities and missions.
8. A small toy, such as a beanie baby, ball, or hacky sake.
9. For the women, anything from a bed and bath department.
10. Replacement blades and razors for the men.

Send a Care Package to a Troop
A care package shows support and that you care. Make someone happy!
Sending a care package to a troop or just your son or daughter is easy and should be fun. If you are sending to your son or daughter you already know a lot about what they like and might want. You can write a letter to ask what the troop might like in a care package. There are many care packages that a person can order and pay way too much for in my opinion. Making your own care package is more cost effective and that way you can include more items for the troop, and things that you know your loved ones would like. - There are some suggested ideas for care packages below.
