Simple fun for kids.

Toys and recipes for kids that cost next to nothing!

Kids don't need expensive toys to have fun. Here I suggest swings and swing sets, water toys and sandboxes, and the old fashioned deck of cards- all toys I loved as a kid.

I also loved playing with buckets in water or sand- just anywhere. Remind yourself about all the fun you can have with buckets and shovels

I think this is outstanding value for such fun. The makers say this is suitable for children from 3 years onwards. They say "up to 8 years" but I know older children would love this too.

Do you want them indoors on their computers? Well, maybe, some of the time. Really though, kids should be outdoors whenever possible, having harmless fun. What could be better on a warm summer's day than splashing around with water?
Actually, I do have another suggestion, which is outdoor swings and swing sets.
Both these ideas- outdoor water toys and outdoor swings and swing sets- are inexpensive ways to get your children out in the fresh air having healthy exercise whilst having fun.

Water toys have sure come a long way...... when I was a kid we used the hose and water ballons and garbage can lids as shields!
