Join The Growing Trend And Get Your Outdoor Kitchen Equipment Installed!

Outdoor kitchens have been gaining a surge in popularity like never before ! Once considered an addition to the properties of the rich and famous due to sometimes astronomical installation costs, this increased popularity has made the purchasing of outdoor kitchen equipment a much more realistic proposal for everyday folks. Many companies have now entered the market to meet this growing demand for outdoor kitchen equipment, and are passing the obvious benefits onto their customers. You can now find a range of attractive designs and lay-outs at prices that won't force you to re-motgage the house!

An Introduction To the Varying Types Of Outdoor Kitchen Equipment

High-quality outdoor kitchen equipment is exactly what you need to be able to cook well in your patio. There are many types of equipment available to buy, and many companies sell them both online and in DIY stores. The key to your search is 'QUALITY'.

For most, the grill is still the focal point of an outdoor kitchen. Grills are available in several different configurations. There are both simple gas and charcoal-only grills in patio kitchens. Most people, however, opt for multi-fuel grills. There are also duel-fuel models, which can cook with either natural gas or propane. Aside from gas, these grills can also cook with charcoal and wood. Some outdoor kitchens have two big grills. Examples of other outdoor kitchen equipment types are listed below:

Weather-Proof Pizza Ovens:-

Pizza ovens are a luxury in outdoor kitchen equipment that you may never consider. These ovens are designed to be fully weather-proof. These are fairly new to the market, but if you have one, you can bake anything from a casserole to a cake in it!

Lobster boil pits are good not only for cooking lobsters but also for crab, crayfish, and shrimp. You can also deep-fry in them. You can stir fry in wok cook tops.

Fridges And Other Cooling Equipment:-

Refrigerators are a vital component of any outdoor kitchen. People who have outdoor kitchens tend to favour elaborate gourmet refrigerators. These stainless steel wonders offer uniform temperature and are extremely energy efficient. Their interiors are also finished in stainless steel, and they have racks for chilling bottled drinks, glasses and mugs. If you prefer a smaller variety of refrigerator, there are the under-counter ones available also. These come in varying modes such as regular refrigerators, refrigerators with drawers or glass doors, or simple refrigerated drawers.

There is also other cooling equipment available. Beverage storage is a big consideration in planning an outdoor kitchen. You can get outdoor wine chillers, keg tappers, and beverage centers which combine wine and soft drink storage complete with keg tapper. Outdoor freezers can also be bought to store your food until you are ready to use it.

There is, however, one problem with outdoor refrigeration. If you are resident in a hot country your ice maker may not work so well. The reason being that the temperature in the area surrounding the ice maker needs to be around 70 degrees if it is to work efficiently.

Weather-Tight Cabinets:-

Cabinets are also important items of outdoor kitchen equipment. All the cabinets need to be weather-tight. They should have some system to drain off water so that it does not stand on top of the cabinets or cabinet doors. If you want luxury and convenience, you will want all the specialty cabinets. There are special cabinets that have warming drawers so that you can preheat your plates. There are also cabinets with tilt-in trash cans and with cutting boards.

You can make your dreams of backyard entertaining come true with the above-listed outdoor kitchen equipment. Figure out what you need and shop around for the best deals. You should have no trouble sourcing everything you need.

Outdoor Kitchen And Dining Area Designs

Outdoor Kitchens: Designs for Outdoor Kitchens, Bars, and Dinning Areas (Quarry Book)

This must be the first full book-length study of the increasingly popular subject of outdoor kitchens and cooking. The author's style is precise and easy, allowing the reader to understand the history of cooking outdoors, which, after all, is how cooking got started. The book is beautifully produced, with a profusion of color illustrations and drawings which illustrate the text's in-depth approach to all aspects of the subject. From simple outdoor grilling to the design and construction of a custom, high-end outdoor kitchen and dining area, the reader can develop a better feel for the glorious benefits of cooking by fire. A useful index of resources for products is included at the end.

Not to be ignored are the many sidebars in the book, many of which provide essential information, such as those relating to choosing grills, the estimation of food servings for groups, cleaning a grill and food safety when outdoors. Major chefs and designers who specialize in outdoor cooking and grilling are interviewed, including 'Barbeque Bible' maestro Steven Raichlen, Dwayne Ridgaway, Food Network star Paula Deen, Richard Sandoval (author of Modern Mexican Flavors) and Dinosaur Bar-B-Que owner John Stage.

We can't all afford to spend a fortune on a full-blown outdoor kitchen, but Amanda Lecky's book is a great resource for outdoor large and small, and is worth more than its weight in (gold or otherwise) briquettes. Outdoor cooking has never been so fully analyzed and featured and this book makes you want to run out on the patio, fight the fall chill and grill a great meal.

The 'Make-Up' Of Your Outdoor Kitchen And Its' Value!

When it comes to outdoor cooking, why should you confine your cooking area to a 2 ft x 4 ft grill on wheels while your indoor cooking area is an 8 ft x 10 ft room? With grill islands becoming more popular, you can now have your indoor kitchen ameities outside. More importantly, you don't have to hire an expensive contractor to build a structure out of gray cinder block. Most grill islands today can be custom built with material that is strong and durable and delivered, ready for use immediately. So why should barbequing be a lonely, painstaking job for the cook, while the rest of your guests are enjoying the beautiful sunny day?

Now, there are a many companies who produce prefabricated grill islands. These grill islands come in varying shapes and sizes, and by having a custom grill island built for your backyard, it can be designed to match your existing décor and size constraints. Also, having a custom grill island designed to meet your needs and cooking desires will certainly liven up your next outdoor party; plusis great for family socialising.

The grill island itself is a large, stationary structure that has space for a gas grill, plenty of counter space and can include basically anything you would have in your indoor kitchen. Most outdoor kitchens have the basic necessities, such as stainless steel refrigerators, drawers, and access doors. But for those individuals who like to take grilling to the next level, you may want warming ovens, microwaves, sinks, and dishwashers built into the grill island for even more outdoor convenience and adventure. Everything is at your fingertips your new outdoor kitchen.

There are also other great reasons for having a custom grill island. Like most home improvements, they can definitely add value to your home. According to some home appraisers, outdoor kitchens can increase your property value from US$10,000 to US$25,000; depending on the specification! As a 'general rule of thumb', any investment that you put into your home should come back to you when you sell it. As grill islands tend to weigh several hundred pounds, they are almost always sold as a fixed amenity of your property, which can be an added attraction for the buyer.

So remember, just as food seems to taste better when cooked outdoors, so does cooking in an open environment seem to be more fun, more adventurous, and more family-friendly. The outdoor kitchen has become a popular gathering place during the summer months and, in many areas - all year round.
