Outnumbered
They're finding joy in other people's pain
we just can't
They're finding laughter while someone suffers
we simply don't
They're finding acceptance in being uneducated
we absolutely won't
They're finding justification for being intolerant
we can never
They're finding heartache in a lost sporting event
we don't get it
They're finding happiness in winning
we know it's irrelevant
They're finding satisfaction in self indulgence
we aim to create balance
We're finding joy when there is no pain
they think that's impossible
We're finding laughter when it doesn't hurt someone else
they find that funny
We're finding acceptance through education
they believe knowledge is over-rated
We're finding heartache where there is suffering
they think we're pathetic
We're finding happiness when it's win-win
they believe there's always a loser
We find satisfaction when the weak can indulge
they can't
We feel outnumbered
They feel outnumbered
Truth
All of the above is a trap
There is no They
There is no We
It's Us
Together we stand
Together we choose words to inspire
Together we share the burdens
Together we relish in the joy
Together we love this earth
Together we create change

Poems For All Your Emotions.
Outnumbered (as a Song Lyric)
They're finding joy in people's pain
we just can't
They're indifferent when someone suffers
we simply aren't
They're finding acceptance in being uneducated
we absolutely won't
They're finding justification for being intolerant
we can never
They're finding heartache in a lost sporting event
we don't get it
They're finding happiness in winning
we know it's irrelevant
They're finding satisfaction in self indulgence
we aim to create balance
We take a stand
choosing words to inspire
sharing the burdens
relishing in the joy
By loving this earth
We're finding joy when there's no pain
they think that's impossible
We find laughter when it doesn't hurt someone else
they find that hillarious
We're finding acceptance through education
they believe knowledge is over-rated
We're finding heartache where there is suffering
they think we're pathetic
We're finding happiness when it's win-win
they believe there's always a loser
We find satisfaction when the weak can indulge
they can't
They take a stand
They won't inspire
What burdens they ask?
Joy just bleeds!
Let someone else love the earth
I have my own needs
We feel outnumbered
They feel outnumbered
Truth....
it's a plastic coated trap
There's no They
There's no We
It's Us, you and me,
Together our stand
Together our inspirations
Together our burdens
Together our joy
Together loving this earth
Together creating change
Together, Together, ours to Change,
Together in Numbers, we re-arrange,
we are tomorrow, we are the message,
We are the rainbow after the rain,
Together,
We becomes Us...it really does

Where Have All The Leaders Gone, (A Song)
Lyrics by Barbara Tremblay Cipak, Copyrighted

(VERSE 1)
Beyond the sunset another child smiles
Held in her mother's arms for a while
Cuddled up with faith her guiding force
She prays to her God for the same things of course;
For leaders to lead us down a path of peace
That her baby will always have enough to eat
That her neighbors get all the help they need
And imprisoned minds will someday be freed
(CHORUS)
We sing for justice in a song
The world in disarray for so long
If right is someone else's wrong
then who'll teach us how to get along
With divide and conquer going strong
Where have all the leaders gone?
(VERSE 2)
How many questions did you ask today?
Do you believe what the media has to say?
Did your neighbor lose his job or home?
If the leaders tell him to do it alone
do you believe he should rebuild on his own?
There's no money left, sorry it's gone
Where has all the money flown?
(CHORUS)
We sing for justice in a song
The world in disarray for so long
If right is someone else's wrong
then who'll teach us how to get along
With divide and conquer going strong
Where have all the leaders gone?
(VERSE 3)
Does money define the entire earth?
How do we determine what a life is worth
Who makes the call that some live and some die?
A mother asks while she's doubled over to cry
"Why me, why us, why tell me why!
why did my child have to die!"
This pain is her prison and they still deny
that wars are built on sandstone lies
(BRIDGE TO CHORUS)
Leaders who lead us to live in peace
Who build bridges of hope without shaking their fist
Who understand we must all co-exist
and share the resources of this earth
'Cause no one owned it at its birth
who owns the moon?
who owns the stars?
is that where all the leaders are?
We sing for justice in a song
With the world in disarray this long
and right is always someone's wrong
who'll teach us how to get along
with divide and conquer going strong
Where have all the Leaders Gone?

I See Good People
For all the Optomistic,

I See Good People
by, Barbara Tremblay Cipak, Copyrighted
My heart it beats to the drum of hope
Life hands out test sheets everyday
I always pass
While I'm walking a foot is stuck out
there I lay flat on my face
So what
I pick myself up
and stick my tongue out to the one who tried
I beat another obstacle
A panicing phone is ringing,
do this do that do it now
was it done yesterday
uhuh, yep, Ok, yes I did it,
thanks for calling
Someone is yelling at me
I listen
"there's a good person in there somewhere"
What happened?
hmm, they're backtracking,
Didn't they know I'm a good person?
That's what I see, I see good people

The bestseller by Lee Iacocca
Where Have All The Leaders Gone
Strangely enough, I wrote this poem/song in early 2006 (I'm going by memory here...hopefully that's right!)...Anyway, I then hear of this book by Lee Iacocca in early 2007..
So what the heck, here it is...I actually haven't read it yet,
I couldn't believe that my poem title is EXACTLY the same title as this book...Hey, maybe his book needs a theme song!, lol, maybe not :)
