With every weekly WigJig newsletter we provide a new jewelry design from WigJig University to spur the creative juices. This lens focuses on the newsletter design Ovals Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings shown left. This design is an advanced beginners jewelry making project and can be made on any WigJig jewelry making tool with one regular metal peg and two Super Pegs. In the earrings shown at left, we used one 1/4" Super Peg and one 3/8" Super Peg. These earrings were made with 20 gauge soft wire.

Making the Earrings
The gemstones shown above are 2x18mm cubic zirconia pendants. They are not glass. This is important because glass has the same hardness as dust and can therefore be scratched by dust. Cubic zirconia (CZs) are much harder than dust and therefore retain their shine better than glass. You can view these pendants in our Internet store starting here.
