The real problem
It's not the glands
The real problem is not the gland itself. It's perfectly fine, it's producing sweat so it's working alright..No.. The bad guy in this drama, is the system that controls them that is overactive.
This system, called the "sympathetic nerve system" is responsible for maintaining a healthy body temperature. And to its help it uses the sweat glands.
When this system wants to lower the temperature of your body it sends a signal to these glands to start sweating.
But in your case this system is overactive, meaning that it will send out way more signals than it should. Take your garden hose for example.. In the summer when it's hot and the plants in your garden need water, you bring out the garden hose and start to water. You can regulate the water by placing your tumb on the opening of the hose.
When this system is overactive, it's like water your plants and flowers with a hose from a fire truck!! (Imagine the amount of water coming out of a fire hose. It's not very healthy for your plants and flowers now isin't.)
So in order to battle this problem you will have to get rid of the fire hose, and bring out your garden hose again so to speak.
What the doctors say
They aren't always right
So what are the doctors and sweat specialist saying you should do about this problem?Well, they want you to undergo surgery, because they claim that this condition cannot be cured. They say that the sympathetic nerve system is an automated system and therefor you cannot do anything about it.
Let me tell you.. They couldn't be more wrong, but now lets first look on what they recommend you to do..
ETS surgery
This is a surgery that they seem eager to recommend. No wonder when it cost you over $15000 to do.
The doctor will begin by puncturing one of your lungs, in order to reach the sympathetic nerve that runs along your spine.
He will then cut this nerve of, so that all the communication with the sweat glands are lost.
There are no chance of undoing this operation.
A side-effect that happens in every case is compensatory sweating. This means that as a result of the loss of sweat glands, the body will start to sweat more on other places of the body.
This is a good sign of a operation that is targeting the wrong problem.
It isin't the sweat glands, it is the sympathetic nerve system that needs to be fixed.
Botox Shots
This procedure involves botox. You know the type of botox that hollywood stars use to look younger.
The doctor will inject this nerve poison on the areas where you sweat a lot to paralyze the sweat glands.
This treatment is only temporary meaning that you will continue to go and get botox shots for the rest of your life.
The treatment cost from $300 to $600 depending where you live.
Side effects from this treatment is also compensatory sweating and a lot of patients complain about numbness as a result of the poison paralyzing the nerves.
A solution that is natural
Power of simplicity
What should you do about this problem?Well, remember what I said about the doctors and specialists say you cannot influence the sympathetic nerve system?
They are soo wrong...
You can influence this system, and you are doing it all the time.
Did you know that the type of food you eat directly affects this system.
For example: When you eat something hot, chances are that you start to sweat = you have affected this system.
Just as there are foods that gets you to sweat there are foods that will reduce your sweating.
It's so simple, but that's also why it's so powerful. It's the "power of simplicity" law.
If you want to read more about which types of food that gets you to sweat less then you should get the "stop sweating naturally" guide a read.
