What is Binge Eating?
Binge eating is an eating habit disorder which most of the time results in overeating. When someone goes into a binge eating mode, then he will consume a large amount of food uncontrollably.
Most of the times, binge eating is followed by a guilty conscience. As a result, someone who has done binge eating might do somethings to offset his binge eating. The most common offset is by purging everything that has been eaten through laxative or force vomitting.
However just because you like to overeat does not mean you are binge eating. Let's learn about the symptoms in the next module.
Binge Eating Symptoms
1. People gasped when they see the amount that you are eating2. You cannot put yourself to stop whenever you are eating
3. You like to enjoy your meals alone because you are embarassed by what you eat
4. You still eat a large amount of food despite your hunger level
5. You tend to eat in higher pace than your usual pace
What Causes Binge Eating
And regarding its connection with diet, so far there's also no evidence yet. Binge eating happens to people who are in diet or people who are not in diet. But it's true that binge eating happens more to people who are obese instead of normal people. So the best way to keep the risk at bay is by controlling what you eat starting from now.
Another possibility is that binge eating is caused by genes. However there's no official statement that confirm that fact.
Are You at Risk of Binge Eating?
However research stated that this eating disorder is most commonly found in obese people.
Binge eating is a large and growing syndrome, and about 2 percent of all adults experience this disorder. Binge eating disorder is commonly found in women rather than men.
There's no evidence yet that binge eating disorder affect certain ethnic or age group.

How do we cure binge eating?
There are some ways to deal with binge eating which are:1.Behavioral treatment.
Therapist will teach people with binge eating disorder to keep a meal diary to track the changes in their eating habits. Therapist will also conduct several sessions to teach people with binge eating disorder to realize their current body shape.
2.Drug therapy.
This involves some anti depressants which can be costly but effective.
And it helps a little if you substitute your foods that you usually binge with healthy soy bars. They are low in fat, while high in nutrients that makes them an ideal food to consume.

Find alternative behavior to bingeing.
Do Yoga.
Never deny yourself food. It will just make it worse.
