How to Overcome Panic Attacks

If you want to learn how to overcome panic attacks then you have definitely come to the right place (I can finally say that!). After 4 excruciating years of suffering with them, it has now been 8 months (and counting) since my last one.

Here are some of the methods I used to overcome panic attacks...

1. Internalize Negative Thoughts

Many people try to force their negative thoughts out of their head. The thing is that resistance actually causes even more bad thoughts to flood your mind. Rather than resisting those thoughts, let them in completely.

The first thing you will find is that most of your negative thoughts are repetitive. If you alleviate one of them, many will go with it.

Take each thought in and look into it with an objective eye. See the very thing which is causing you stress. Most times that very "thing" will be completely irrational with regards to your real situation.

Analyze your thoughts and you will clear all of the "clutter" out of your head.

2. Cut the Caffeine Out

Many tests have proven that there is a positive correlation between caffeine and stress. In other words, people who consume more caffeine are usually more stressed.
So try and cut down on your daily caffeine intake as much as possible. It does not give you any real benefits anyways. If you are feeling very drowsy in the morning, then try and get an extra half hour of sleep.

Here is an extra tip for getting rid of drowsiness in the morning:

Before going to bed, consume a (very) light snack. Have some fresh vegetables with a little dip. Protein shakes are actually really good to have as well (they help to speed up your metabolism for all you weight conscious people :-)

3. Set a Worry Time

We all know that stress is a large contributor to panic attacks. So an obvious way to help you overcome panic attacks is to cut the stress. This is how I cut my stress to a minimum...

What I did was set a "worry time" for myself. I would spend 10 intense minutes just worrying about every single little thing. I would write them all down and why I was so stressed out about them. I would also write a couple of actions that I could do to help solve the problems.

After my worry time was over I would carry on with my day and try to enjoy it the best I can. Rather than worrying, my main focus for the rest of the day was to enjoy it.

If I found myself worrying, I would just take note of it and save it for my next "worry time".

Stop Living With Your Panic Attacks...

If you want to know how I truly got over my panic attacks then here it is: I got the Panic Away Program

I have to admit that I am a little more lucky than most people. I've heard that people have spent hundreds of dollars online trying to cure their panic attacks. I'm just happy that I stumbled across this site before I wasted my money with anything else.

Panic Away is built around the "One Touch Method". To learn more about the method, visit the Panic Away Website and scroll to the 8th paragraph.

I really hope (and truly believe) that Panic Away gives you your life back...just like it did for me.
