    Even though an panic/anxiety attack can be a very scarey situation to the individual that is suffering the attack, it is crucial that the individual realizes that the panic/anxiety episode is actually a harmless event even though the symptoms that are being experienced probably don't feel that way.

    Scans have shown that when an individual experiences extreme anxiety, their brain activity moves from the front part of the brain to the region of the mid brain. Therefore, in order to restore themselves to calm they need the brain's mental activity to change back.
