Overcoming Panic Attack in 3 Easy Steps
If you are looking for effective ways for overcoming panic attack then I really think you are in the right place. Panic attacks are very problematic because they "balloon" so quickly. When I felt one coming on, I would usually spend the entire time leading up to it freaking out and trying to push the bad thoughts out of my head.
Now that I have been panic attack free for the past 8 months, I realize that this was not the correct course of action. Here are some effective ways for overcoming panic attack.
Overcoming Panic Attack in 3 Simple Steps
1. Regulate Breathing
Overcoming Panic Attack Step #1
Many people make the same problem I used to. When they feel a panic attack coming on, they spend the entire time freaking out and trying to either make it pass quickly or avoid it all together. What you need to realize is that freaking out will only make it worse.
Instead, you must begin regulating your breathing right from the first sign of a panic attack. Take slow deep breaths. What this does is nip it in the bud before it becomes a huge monster.
The key is to begin to focus on your breathing right at the BEGINNING. Most people try and do this when they are already having a panic attack. Of course this does little to work and then they believe that breathing exercises are a waste of time.

2. Analyze Bad Thoughts
Overcoming Panic Attack Step #2
Instead of trying to push negative thoughts out of your mind, take each one in and analyze it. Most of our negative thoughts are completely irrational. If you take each one in and really look at WHY you are having this thought you will realize that it is not a real threat to you.
Never try and just force the thoughts out of your head. I found this almost opened up a flood of even more bad thoughts coming into my mind. If you are really desperate for overcoming panic attack, then this method will help you a lot more than you think. Just trust it and try it.
