Stress caused Heart Problems are triggered by Anxiety attacks
Anxiety attacks are often the result of stress built up day to day with no release. Low blood pressure, stroke and heart attack can be the unwanted results of stress induced anxiety.What occurs when a person has a stress induced anxiety attack?
When a person suffers such an attack it is often described as an overwhelming feeling of fear that takes over.
It's like the dial tone on a telephone -- it is always there. Even if you work hard to think of something else, the fear and anxiety comes right back with every change of thought.
Stress and Anxiety tells our bodies to Fight or Flight
It is this type of attack that causes people to become frozen by fear. This affects the heart.The reason is that all our organs are connected. When suffering an anxiety attack it is much like being placed in a very dangerous situation. The brain tells all the other body parts that it is time to either stand and fight or run!
Anxiety overloads the body causing stress induced heart problems
The heart works faster and harder to pump blood to all the various organs. The eyes and ears are put on alert; muscles tighten up and blood pumps faster and faster.Normally periods of danger are relatively short.
With stress induced anxiety, the brain keeps the body on full alert. Normally periods of danger are relatively short. All the work that goes into maintaining the high alert level makes it impossible to sustain.
Symptoms of a stress induced anxiety attack
Because the body needs rest the brain tells the heart to relax. But the anxiety tells the heart to speed up. Everything is racing and everything is trying to slow down.It can't go on like that for very long -- and eventually the body will stop it.
Watch for these symtptoms of a stress induced anxiety attack:
* Feeling cold
* Nervous trembling
* Irregular or fast heart beat
* Breathing difficulties
* Blood pressures goes up or down
Reduce stress in your life!
