POEA Licensed Recruitment Agencies

Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) contribute a lot to the nation's growth and development. They have to leave their own families to work abroad as professionals, engineers, nurses, cruise attendants, office and factory workers and even as domestic helpers.

OFWs are engaged in a variety of jobs abroad. OFWs are employed in other countries as nurses, doctors, IT professionals, entertainers, teachers, engineers, architects, technicians, and many more. Some of these professionals and skilled workers have become permanent residents of their chosen destinations.

Why work abroad?

Many Filipinos are choosing to leave the country to find jobs abroad for varied reasons.

The most common and prevalent reason Filipinos look for employment abroad has to do with economic and financial considerations. All OFWs agree that they won't earn the amount they're earning abroad if they just stay and work in the Philippines. With the foreign exchange rates that favor the economies of first world countries, Filipinos see the employment opportunities abroad as their means to reach greener pastures. Earning in a currency that has more value than the Philippine peso is enticing to some Filipinos.

To be with family members and relatives who have immigrated to other country is another reason why some Filipinos opt to become OFWs. They choose to work in a country where some of their family members and relatives reside.

Kaya never akong pupunta sa ibang bansa.

sadfgdsh says:

greyreydrydfgdfgd

Maghanap-buhay sa ibang bansa, para sa mas mabuting kalagayan ng pamilya.

Pinoy OFW says:

What a great source of info for OFW

no choice says:

because of too much politics and abuse of power that is the reason many are force to work abroad. if you work abroad you are given the chance to prove yourself and the company recognizes what you can do for them and they will appreciate you for this. but in our country even if you are only sitting down in the office whole day but you have the powerful people behind you you will get the position. so maybe god is punishing the philippines because even the servants of god are meddling in politics.

Jedi Bong says:

I have been working for 21 years now but I still want to work abroad. I just turned 50 last March. Why is it that there is age and sex discrimination here in our country when one is looking for a job abroad? I am well experienced and won't bog down because of my age. Give me a chance to prove that age does not matter. Credibility and competence does.

Aney says:

I am almost 40,no one will hire me anymore here in the Philippines. So I have to leave the country,I have no choice. I just got separated,so I have to work hard for my kids' future as well as mine.

rhee says:

Yes! for a higher salary rate and for financial stability which is a great help for my family
