These are handmade owl baby invitations created by Ashlee from Across the Branch . Although they were originally designed for her daughter's birthday party, they could easily be adapted for a baby shower.

There are so many elements to love including:

*Rummage through your Christmas ornaments and you are bound to find some bird ornaments.
*Since owls spend most of their time in the trees, gather some branches from the yard and arrange them on tables.
*Cotton balls make great clouds.
*Ask your neighbors if they happen to have any owl cookie jars, vases or buckets. You would be surprised to find out how many owl fans there are
*Visit the Salvation Army or a local second-hand store for some owl figures or decorations.
*The candy "Peeps" make fun table decorations and are generally available at discount stores like Target.

Owl Baby Shower Favors from Cool Party Favors

The outdoors is an ideal place for an owl themed baby shower. Lindye Galloway created these fun trees out of wood and cute owls out of tennis balls and felt. The bright teal tablecloths are so elegant that it makes the homemade owls and branches stand out as even more fun.

This sandwich is a hoot and so easy to make. A creation from Little Food Junction, it is made from bread, eggs, cheese, olives, cucumbers and a carrot. You could probably use a homemade loaf for an extra tasty treat for your guests.

Pre-printed Owl baby shower invitations make life easy. This is especially true if you are able to view a proof before you order. However there are many ways to create your own invitations using plain card stock and an owl rubber stamp or stickers.

Since an owl can be formed using a circular piece of paper with two semicircles on the side as wings, you can easily make an invitation. Fun, felt owls are everywhere and look down at this delicious looking dessert table by Lindye Galloway Events. The white curtain is the perfect backdrop for the table.

This cake looks easy to construct. Two round cakes placed on top of each other with a piece of another cake for the feet. M&Ms, licorice, and frosting tubes make up the decorations. The eyes look like mini Oreo cookies.

I found these cute mirror owl decorations at Bed Bath and Beyond on clearance. They are "peel and stick" and although they are recommended for wall use, I would place them on a board with a sign welcoming guests to your baby shower.

I can't believe how creative Leslie of Night Owl Crafting.com is. The cupcakes she created look like Oreo's that were taken apart with chocolate chips for the eyes and a cashew for the beak . The cupcake display and tree branches make for great decorations as well. The brown weave fabric is also a great touch. You will have to visit her blog for more great ideas. She said that the shower was lots of fun and I am sure that the wonderful atmosphere that she created contributed to the fun.
