P90X workout reviews and results

I have been using P90X for a long time now and have wanted to make a P90X reviews page for a while, but just haven't time to get around to it. I also wanted to share some P90x reviews and results from some other people who use the program. There are some videos a the bottom that show their transformations and results on youtube and other video sites. To me, these videos are what won me over to begin with - real people, real results, not actors on an infomercial.

The P90X system is not for everybody and hopefully this P90x review will let you know if it is right for you or not, and if not, what other options are available to you. I will also go over what kind of results to expect and what the 12 DVD workouts consist of (don't worry, you will work muscles you never knew you had).

Ever since I have been using this extreme home fitness program, I have been very impressed. It is very professionally done, very intense, and only takes about 1 hour a day. Being able to put it in the DVD player in your own living room has been extremely convenient. As Tony says in the videos, "keep pushing play", and you will lose weight and get in the best shape of your life.

P90X workout review and resultsThe difference between P90X and other exercise programs is that it is not just an exercise program. It is a complete body overhaul. Not only are the workouts and workout plan amazing, but you also get a nutritional plan to maximize your results, and an online community for support and motivation. The workouts are revolutionary because they cause muscle confusion, which I will explain later, and the workouts always keep your body guessing, which keeps results coming.

After 90 days I felt like I was in the best shape of my life. Only 3 months! Think about that, 3 months is not a long time at all, but in the short time, you can completely transform your body and you will get great P90X results as long as you stick to the workout schedule and eat according to the nutritional guide.

These steps are crucial to the program working. The meal plan is a little tricky at first, but it is easy to stick to once you get used to it. It requires you to stick to a good mix between proteins, carbs, veggies, fruits, and good fats. The workout plan is broken up into 3 phases, each lasting 1 month. With the workout schedule, it is important that you workout everyday (you get 1 rest day a week). Sometimes you will not have the energy to workout, but you just have to push yourself. Make a personal vow to workout everyday, no matter what - no excuses!

Tony Horton is the lead man of the P90X DVD program and he is absolutely ripped and jacked. Not only is he in awesome shape, but he is a great trainer, motivator, and very knowledgeable with all of the different aspects of working out - always reminding us to breathe, protect the lower back, and other "tips of the day". He has some great sayings inhis workouts which have become iconic - "Do your best and forget the rest", "Just push play", "Bring it", "I recommend foot spray", halfway done, party's almost over, what a bummer", and "I hate it but I love it" just to name a few. P90X Questions and FAQs

P90X 12 DVDs As a Beachbody Coach, I get asked tons of questions similar to, "Is P90X right for me?", "What are the results going to be like?", and "Is this the best program out there or are there others that are just as good?".

These are all good questions and relevant ones. It is always good to ask questions before jumping into something like this. It is a lifestyle change for the next 90 days, and if you like it (which you will because you will love the new level of energy and your new looks), you can make it a lifestyle change for life.

So, Is the program right for you? To do this program, you should be able to pass the P90X fit test. Now it is not hard, it is just to make sure you are in ok shape. If you cannot pass the physical fit test, then you just keep doing the test until you can. Even though you may not be able to pass the test, there is nothing that says you cannot pop the DVD in and do what you can. "Do your best and forget the rest" as Tony likes to say. You will get better, and you will see results in 90 days. Actually, you will see results in much less time than that, but it will probably greatly benefit you to keep going beyond the initial 90 days.

If you still feel intimidated by P90X, which you shouldn't because you are doing it in your own house! Then you can scroll down to the bottom and look at the 10 minute trainer, which will get you up to this level in a month or so.

What are some of the fit test requirements?
- You should be able to do 3 pull ups if male, 1 if female. I was barely able to do 3 when I started. My goal is now 20, and I'm almost there.
- You should be able to do 15 push ups if male, 3 if female. I have never had any problems with push ups, so I was fine here. If you are struggling here, do some everyday to get yourself ready.
- Other requirements include holding a wall squat for 1 minute, being able to curl 20 pounds 10 time for males and 8 pounds 10 times for women, and being able to do 25 in and outs (a type of sit up). Again, I don't think it is absolutely necessary to be able to hit all of these requirements, but you should be close.

If you can easily do the above requirements and are ready to bring it, then P90X is definitely for you.
You will see the greatest results if you can perform the min. requirements, and you will get ripped in 90 days, no question about it. This is an extreme home workout, the best on the market. If it's toning up, building muscle, or losing fat, P90X will do that for you - as long as you decide and commit to it. Your cardiovascular and muscle strength will shoot through the roof. Your legs, arms, chest, back, and core will be the best they have ever been. It is not all just about muscle either, P90X includes Yoga X and Stretch X to give you the third ingredient to a healthy, fit body - flexibility. This is a key that many people overlook.

What Makes P90X So Special - My P90X Review

P90X Tony Horton P90X is different. "Change is good" as Tony likes to say in his videos. As mentioned earlier, the workouts are designed to make your body adapt to change, keeping your body off guard all the time. During Phase 1, you do the following exercises for the first three weeks: Chest and back, Plyometrics (tough!), Arms and Shoulders, Yoga X, Legs and back, Kenpo X, and then X Stretch or rest. After three weeks of this, your muscles adapt and get used to the movements. Week 4 is a recovery week and consists of light exercises like Yoga X and Core Synergetics.

During phase 2, or month 2, you will be thrown into new exercises which confuses the muscles. Instead of chest and back, and arms and shoulders, you will now be doing the Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps workout and the Back and Biceps workout. These workouts are made up of completely different moves. Again, you will do these workouts for 3 weeks with 1 recovery week. During your last phase, phase 3, you will be doing a combination of the first phase and the second phase to really keep the body guessing. During these last 30 days, your body will be making huge improvements.

Another great thing about the P90X program is that it has three different options. You have the lean version, the classic version (described above), and the doubles version for those really hardcore athletes. The classic version is for those wanting to build muscle and get ripped. The lean version is usually preferred by women because it slims the body and ads just a little muscle definition.

Equipment you will need for P90X

P90X Pull up barOne of the great things about P90X is that you don't need a whole lot of equipment. All you need is a couple of dumbells (or resistance bands), a pull up bar, and a Yoga mat. That's it! Think of all the equipment you see in a gym. Well, you don't need all that when you use your body weight to get into shape.

10 Minute Trainer

10 minute trainer videoAs I mentioned at the beginning, some of you might not be quite ready for P90X. If you cannot pass the fit test, I would recommend the 10 minute trainer, also by Tony Horton. The good thing about this program is that it is quick, works your whole body, and gets you ready for P90X.

You will get 10 moves in under 10 minutes - cardio, legs, yoga moves, and resistance all wrapped up in 10 minutes!

You will also get the weight loss planner, and the quick and easy meals guide.
