Padma Parvati Lakshmi, Lady Rushdie, is an Indian-American model, screen star and cookery author. She studied theater at Clark University was a good start for her many roles in life. She is an accomplished actor and writer.

Once married to Sir Ahmed Salman Rushdie, the couple anounced their desire to divorce on July 2, 2007. As in keeping with tradition she may retain the Lady Rushdie title after her name.

Padma's stunning looks are undeniable. In May 2007, People Magazine chose her as one of the world's top 100 beautiful people.

She swears by using honey as a skin treatment as it "pulls out all the impurities". Food and acting do not always mix well however.
