Pagan / Wiccan Interests

I just received the following blessing for such an occasion from a friend:

Oh hail the Summer Solstice for today we unite as one.
We thank you for your energy as we bask in your sun.
We remember your celebrations of Solstice past from our ancestors that worked and revered our land.

Hi all,
I'm a Celtic Pagan.
My beliefs are based on the basis of Mother Nature being an amazing Goddess and the old adage of:
"An harm ye none, do what ye will." (otherwise known as the wiccan rede).
This is a very basic concept and applied to all levels of life - very much like Zen Buddists.
I am a celtic pagan due to, not only my beliefs, but also to my heritage, background and up bringing.

When I was a teenager, fresh out of A-Levels, I didn't really understand the three-fold rule of magic that Wiccas follow, I'd read it, heard about it & made the mistake of completely ignoring it.

I did some candle magic. Involving a red candle some herbs (I can't remember what herbs) and 3 nights before the full moon. This was all good apart from the intent of the spell. This was a simple job finding spell. I was sick of temping and wanted a permanent job.

This spell worked! I was surprised, I asked for a very specific job (Web Designer) and within a week or two, I'd had an interview and had been offered the job (out of 500 applicants, 5 were interviewed).

This job seemed great, I was on 3-month trial - I had the joy of creating a website for 'Royal' Tunbridge Wells (this is the official site). I based this on the Pantiles (this is the official site)

Just before this 3-month trial ended, I was made redundant, therefore forced to go back to temporary secretarial work again until something more permanent came up.

It took from then until 2003 to find myself a job I was comfortable in and enjoyed. It actaully turns out to be another office/secretarial job, but offering business services (here) in Tunbridge Wells. This gives me a variety and I still have the time to programme websites for myself and for friends in my spare time. using Shockwave Flash and a variety of other things including core HTML programming and DHTL programming (bearing in mind this was in 2000-ish). I spent a lot of time doing research on the internet and was thoroughly enjoying myself. I was one of only two people within this company and so mostly was left to my own devices.

The moral of this true story is that selfish gains never last
