Meet the Team

We at Squidoo believe that original, handcrafted, written-and-loved-and-tended-by-you content is not only the most enjoyable to write, but also the most useful for readers to discover, and the most likely to get shared with other people.

Our mission is to run an open, free platform that gives people a simple way to organize their interests online – and bring more human, curated, original content to the web. We make it easy for writers of all stripes to create portfolios of beautiful webpages, each one about a single thing or story or opinion that they know and love. As a bonus, when one of their pages does well, it earns a royalty for the writer or for charity.

That's it. It's that simple. That's been our model since we started in 2005. And it's going strong, thanks to our supportive community of writers, thanks to the small team you see pictured here (the team is small, not the people), and thanks a little bit to the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Seth Godin

Seth Godin

Original Squid, Founder and President. Seth has written 13 bestsellers, posts every single day on his popular and eponymous blog, and runs the Domino Project, a new book publishing initiative powered by Amazon.

Joshua Brown

Joshua Brown

Designer and Front End Developer. When not tormenting lensmasters with design updates, Josh spends his time playing bass trombone, designing music web sites, walking Noah to school and watching Redskins games.

Kimberly Dawn Wells

Kimberly Dawn Wells

Contributing Writer. Kimberly was one of our earliest lensmasters back in 2006. We hired her not long after to help teach and mentor other lensmasters. She's a frequent contributor to the SquidooHQ blog and learning center.

Lauryn Ballesteros

Lauryn Ballesteros

VP of Sales, Squidoo Magazines. Talking to premium brands who want something far more engaging than a banner ad... She works from our NYC office and can be found running from meeting to meeting, making things happen.

Sponsorship question? Drop Lauryn a note.

Megan Casey

Megan Casey

Cofounder and Editor in Chief. Megan manages content strategy, user engagement, creative education, voice and story and pretty much everything non-code at Squidoo. Outside of Squidoo, she spends her time applying game mechanics in unexpected places, speaking at startup conferences around the US, advising first-time entrepreneurs and exploring the Bay Area with her dog.

Aaron Collegeman

Aaron Collegeman

Lead Developer. Aaron joined Squidoo in 2010 and immediately became indispensable to the team. When not elbow-deep in Squidguts, you'll probably find him promoting code on GitHub.

Tisha Brown

Tisha Brown

Bug Tracker. She is on the front line of processing and assigning Squidoo bugs, which means she's slowly going insane. Tisha enjoys Texas, the Dallas Cowboys and working with preschoolers.

Joey Blake

Joey Blake

Developer. Joey loves great tools of all kinds. He loves to take complicated problems and solve them with simple solutions. Coincidentally, that is something that he gets to do every day when he's coding at Squidoo. When he's not doing that, you'll probably find him enjoying time spent with his family, the great outdoors, and tinkering with new discoveries around the web.

Corey Brown

Corey Brown

Cofounder and COO. When not working on Squidoo, Corey has also started and runs Bright Cowork and Refresh Winchester in Winchester Virginia, and No Treble, the leading online magazine for bass players.

Bonnie Diczhazy

Bonnie Diczhazy

Community Organizer (and then some!) Bonnie also manages the Giant Squid VIP Writers program, is the Head Rocketmom, and is always out there helping lensmasters (new and veteran alike) make their lenses even better. Bonnie joined the SquidTeam after first wowing us as a lensmaster who managed to be at the center of... everything.

Kevin Johnson

Kevin Johnson

Crusher of Spam. Kevin works for Squidoo as an anti-spam activist. He's kind of like a superhero: If you're doing good stuff here, you'll probably never spot him. If you play dirty, you'll find out why he's known as Mr. Crush It. Kevin is also Managing Editor of NoTreble, the leading online magazine for bass players.

Gil Hildebrand

Gil Hildebrand

Cofounder and Chief Engineer. Also known as giltotherescue (GTR!), Gil's career and passion is making technology run smoothly. Ask him about: food, travel, olympic lifting, gymnastics, and martial arts.

Robin Svedi

Robin Svedi

Community Organizer. Robin started as a lensmaster and quickly shot to the top of all our lists. She joined the SquidTeam to help organize the Giant Squid VIP Writers program and hasn't looked back since. Now she's also our Questmaster, crafting fun learning quests for lensmasters.

Tom Maybrier

Tom Maybrier

Content Quality Ombudsman: Tom joined Squidoo in the summer of 2011 to help with a very real need within the community: To help our lensmasters better understand content policy, tricky attribution or copyright issues, SquidDon't guidelines and more. Previously Tom worked at CrowdFlower and Serious Business. He's also a freelance hairstylist!
