Paid Email

I have been a member of several different paid email programs over the last few years.  I got started into this business because I thought it would be an easy way to make some extra money without a lot of work.  Well, as with most things, it sounds a lot easier than it actually is.  If you plan on just reading paid emails and don't want to put any effort into getting referrals; stop now and save yourself the hassle.  Without referrals you will never reach the payout minimum, and you will never receive any money for your effort.  This is just a fact of this industry, you need active referrals inorder to reach the payout with most sites.  Another fact is there are many scams out there so be careful which ones you join.  The sites I have made the most money with; Hits4pay, Inboxdollars, CashCrate, TreasureTrooper, and MyPoints.

Hits4Pay

I have been a member of Hits4Pay since December 2003, and it's been a long journey. When I first joined I tried reading every email they sent me, which was a few a day, but after a couple of months the emails started to slow down to a trickle about one a week if that.

Although Hits4Pay offers a decent payout of $0.02 per email and a $10.00 sign-up bonus at my current pace it would take me 3 years to reach the minimum payment threshold of $25.00.

I decided to try and get some referrals, since I would earn $0.01 each time a referral reads an email at first I wasn't very successful. I wasn't successful, because I didn't know what I was doing. After reading through some forums and finding ways to promote my referral link I was able to get some referrals.

Fast-forward nearly four years later and I have over 1200 referrals underneath me and they have referred roughly 800 members themselves. My referral network is also growing at around 50 new referrals a month.

Currently I am averaging about $45.00 a month with Hits4pay, it might not be much but it covers my cable bill every month. Plus this is only one program and with my other top money makers I am making over $200.00 a month. My full review of Hits4Pay.

InboxDollars

I first joined this site back in 2000, but I left after a few months, because it didn't seem worthwhile. They sent out a couple paid emails a day and they range from $0.01 to $0.03 per email, but if you sign up with the offer in the email you can earn more money. Most offers are free although some you would have to pay money to get credit. You can receive your money once you have $30.00 in your account.

I rejoined InboxDollars in early 2004 after I realized I could make money by simply getting referrals. Now I average over $100.00 a month with them. More information about InboxDollars.

CashCrate

I am a pretty new member to CashCrate. I became one in December of 2006. Although not a paid email site I included them in this list because I really like there site and it's easy to make money with them. CashCrate is a paid offers website. This means you are paid for signing up for trial offers. Most of the offers are free to try and some only cost a little bit of money, plus you make that money back through CashCrate.

Although the first few months for recruiting for CashCrate were slow I now have about 350 referrals and am making over $20.00 a month. In October I reached a new recorded payout with CashCrate at $65.00. I hope to improve on that. My full review of CashCrate.

TreasureTrooper

A similar site to CashCrate is TreasureTrooper. I haven't been very successful yet with TreasureTrooper, but they do have an excellent referral system, which is two levels. Most of there free offers are worth $0.50.

TreasureTrooper has some great potential to make money with if you get a lot of active referrals, but currently I only have 88 referrals in my first level and 33 in my second. Right now I am only averaging a couple dollars a month with TreasureTrooper for more information about TreasureTrooper be sure to read my review.

MyPoints

MyPoints has been around a long time, and I have been a member since 2002. MyPoints is more of a rewards site, but they also have paid email as a way to earn points. You earn points by reading email, shopping through there site, and trying out the free trials. Once you have enough points, usually 1000 you can get a free gift certificate to one of many stores including Wal-mart, Best Buy, Bath and Body Works, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, and many, many more.

It is pretty easy to accumulate points with MyPoints you just need to keep an eye out for there emails and click on the links, the emails are worth 5 points each. You can earn a lot more by shopping through there site between 1% to 5% of your purchase is converted into points. I say if you're going to buy something anyways you might as well shop through them and get an extra free gift card every once in a while. MyPoints
