The internet is jam-packed with all get-rich-quick scam, "foolproof" companies and seductive experts. Beware of these sites as they claim you will earn hundreds of dollars per week when you subscribe to their online job program.

Well, that program is promising if it will really benefit you but I doubt it. This is something too good to be true. If you think they're just after your money, it's better to stay away from them. Search on the web and you will find thousands of websites claiming the same thing and promises you for an easy money, not for you I guess but easy money for them. Also, try searching the reviews for that site and you might be surprised to know how many people they have already been fooled. You see, most of these sites are scam and all they want is just your money. Be skeptical in dealing with these type of sites, they know how to mask themselves. You might not notice that you are already dealing with a scam site. Make a research in the Internet and you will find lots of resources on where to check and determine if the site can be trusted.

In the first place, legitimate companies offering online jobs will not ask money from you but instead they will be the one to pay for your services. Scam websites will try and promise you some work at home job earning thousands of dollars per week, but don't fall for them. All they want is nothing but your money and after that they will just vanish and nowhere to be found. Of course, we don't want that to happen. Protect yourself against scam.

Here are some lists on how to spot a work at home online job scam:

1. Asking for a one-time upfront payment in order to access the services and telling that you will earn $12,000 plus every month if you will follow the steps. Any company that says you can work for it by sending some money is not offering a job. You should NEVER pay to get hired.

2. The site's homepage seems excessively wordy, or perhaps has little or no information on it.

3. The advertisements are usually vague and having lots of grammatical errors. So many exclamation points and capital letters.

4. Exaggerated claims of potential earnings. Verify those testimonies with outrageous claims and better ask the company if they can provide written earning proofs and ask at least ten references.

5. Claims of "no experience required/ necessary". This is pretty obvious, for you to be able to get hired you must have at least acquired the skill, the experience or the training necessary for the job.

6. No Address. They are nowhere to be found. Check if the company has a physical or virtual address and contact number (if yes, ring it to verify).

There are several things that you can do to make sure that you do not end up being scammed out of your hard work or money.


1. Check if the website has a secure web servers that uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption to safeguard your personal information. This is important security measure of websites in preventing scammers from stealing important personal information.

2. Check if their primary purpose is to hire you for a job and not to get your money. Remember: legitimate companies will not ask for any payment for you to get hired. It should be company paying the employee not the other way around. If this happens most likely that company is a scam.

3. Check if the company has a complete physical address with contact information so that it will be easier to contact them in case you will have questions or complaints. Call them if it really works.

4. Check if the site has a forum or community section. If it has, ask other members and read reviews about the site and the program they offer.

5. Check if there is a work contract that you can sign and keep for your own records, so that you will have proof if anything goes wrong or if you do work that you are not paid for.

6. Always Check, if you're in doubt, with the Better Business Bureau online If the site you are dealing with can be trusted and see if there have been any complaints filed against them. It is better to know if it has a good standing reputation from the customers. If it has a poor review and reputation, it is better to stay away from them.

These are just some of the important things we should be aware of in checking the legitimacy of an online job site. As you can see, many people get in scam trouble because they look for the wrong type of jobs in the wrong places. My advice: Use job search sites not search engines to find online jobs.
