Several Paid Survey Scams

I run a paid surveys site that rates and reviews over a hundred paid survey companies, and I hate it when I see other websites that promote scams.  Especially scams that turn people off on paid surveys, because there are many legitimate sites out there. When people join one scam, they start to believe that all the others are scams too.  For this lens I wanted to warn people about some of the biggest paid survey scams out there.

Survey Scout

One of the first paid survey scams.

When I first started taking surveys online back in 2003 I was seduced by a spam email for Survey Scout. The email sounded too good to be true and it was. They promised me I'd make over $100/hour simply by filling out surveys. After thinking about it for a day I decided the $35.00 membership fee was worth the risk and paid up. When I first logged into my account I was really pissed off, because all they had was a giant list of paid survey sites and many of the links didn't even work. Right then I realized I had wasted my money.

Viva Research

Another big Internet scam is Viva Research. When I first registered for Viva Research I though it looked like a legitimate site, boy was I wrong. It really is just a way for a company to get your contact information so they can spend spam to your email. It is also very hard to get them to stop spamming, because they never reply to my emails.

Panda Research

Panda Research and Viva Research look almost exactly the same. They both offer you a free vacation if you join and both use the same sign up form. When I do a Who-is on their domain names I found that they are owned by different people. This leads me to believe that there are scripts that people can purchase that allow them to build a website so they can harvest emails to spend spam to. If you go to a website that offers a free vacation and has a lame registration I wouldn't sign up, or at least do so with a free email address so your real one doesn't receive spam.

SurveyTeam

When I found out about SurveyTeam I was excited again because I had great success by being a member of CashCrate and Treasure Trooper. Those are both excellent sites and I continue to make money with them. SurveyTeam had the same kind of idea; you sign up for offers and get paid to do it. When I read further into their terms and conditions a red light went off. You have to have earned $100.00 before they will send you your money. This is a very high minimum payout, cash crate is only $10.00 and treasure trooper is only $20.00. Also on the registration page for SurveyTeam they offer a free vacation. I'm starting to see a connection between offers too good to be true (free vacations) and scams.

Vindale Research

Another scam I have recently come across is called Vindale Research. This website tries to trick you into thinking they are a legitimate market research company, but they are not. Please do not fall for this scam. They will sell/give away your personal information and you will receive a lot of spam in your email.

CashFiesta Scam

Although Cashfiesta is not really a paid survey site they are still a big old scam, and you shouldn't join there site.

Cashfiesta is a paid to surf program. Basically you download their software and earn a few cents every hour you have it running.

I would never recommend joining a paid surf program. Most of them are a waste of time and you will never earn enough money to reach a payment.

Survey Adventure Scam

Survey Adventure is another site I recently came across that promises a list of over 300 market research companies. But when I signed up my email started to receive tons and tons of "survey offers". Most of these "survey offers" weren't for market research companies at all they were paid email sites and other kinds of schemes.

If you really want to see their list of companies I would recommend using a different email address then your main one.

Project Payday Scam

I recently came across a website called Project Payday. It sounded interesting at first, but I quickly realized it was just another scam.

Let me explain how they promise to lead you to riches with their great method of making money. They say that if you sign up for one of their trial offers they will give you access to a message board / forum that is looking for people to sign up for trial offers.

The people on the forum will pay you to complete trial offers over the Internet. This just sounds to iffy to me to be true. Why would people pay you complete trial offers? And how are you supposed to be able to trust people over a message board where it is completely anonymous and no proof that they will actually pay you.

To top it all off Project Payday doesn't even let you see their forum for free. They make you complete an offer just to visit it.

In my opinion Project Payday is just another Internet scam that is not worth wasting time on.

TKTIKCASH is another scam. Their site is only if you do promotional surveys with a credit card. I had over $400 on my pending account back in December. Now last time I was able to get into the Members Support/Account site it was down to $90. No explanation as to why the decline in the account. I emailed them countless times and to why the decline in my account. Their explanation was they were waiting for a confirmation from someone. Did not tell me which one. Now I am not able to access my account at all. SCAM

I am so glad to find you on this website! You are absolutely right! I went through Panda research and Viva research and was pissed off. I also find other websites and noticed that they are not surveys, they're just trying to get you interested in one of their stupid offers. And other websites that do ask you questions about certain things about yourself, then cuts you off and tells you that you do not qualify. I have been constantly aggrevated with all these scams, but I never gave up, that is how I found you here and your information is extremely helpful. There are also other websites I have noticed that tells you that you can get paid sitting on your butt or while you sleep. I haven't signed up for them because I don't know whether to trust them or not. Thanks again!
