Fill Out Survey. Make a Little Cash. Fill Out a Survey. Make A Little Cash. Fill Out a Survey. Make a Little Cash...

Believe it! You can earn money telling people what you think by filling out surveys online, in person or by mail. You wont get rich doing it but it might just pay for your gas and maybe a gallon of milk.

I have answered surveys for rewards for years and I love it, but I must warn you it can become very addicting. So, if this topic interests you come and read about my survey experience and advice, but be aware that if you are drawn into the survey world you may never come out the same again.

Survey's I've tried

I think I began answering surveys as soon as I graduated college. I began out of boredom after college. When I realized I could earn a few dollars here and there I did it more. When I realized that my opinion can really make a difference I was hooked. When the free samples arrived in the mail I was beyond happy. It is 2009 now and somehow through surveys, focus groups, social networking and blogging I stumbled upon writing reviews and other sorts of wonderful experiences to add to my resume. I believe I would have never have stumbled upon these other things had I not started taking surveys.

Here is a list of online Surveys I've tried over the years. I'm still a member of many of these survey sites, but pressed for time these days I can't always find the time to fill out the surveys.

Survey Scams

Never ever pay to sign up to participate for a survey or to be a survey member. Beware of these scams

Honesty Please

When you answer a survey it is important to give honest answers. Companies are depending on you and many others to give their honest opinion. If you don't have time to answer a survey and just randomly answer questions you are providing false information that can alter a products outcome.

For example, a company is interested in creating a eco-friendly cleaning product for your kitchen. The company has created a survey to find out if anyone is seriously interested in this type of product before they make it. A survey email arrives in your inbox. You open it, click on the survey link and begin to answer the survey, but you are tired from a long day and you didn't make much money today and this survey has a $5 incentive for about 10 minutes of your time.

Because you are tired you really don't read the questions and you just randomly click answers. About 1000 of other people like you are doing the same. In the end the answers provided are not very clear and don't really tell the company one way or the other if it should create the eco-friendly cleaning kitchen product.

Because you completed the survey you earned the $5, but because the survey results are inconclusive you and several other people caused the company to take more time to do more research to get a definite answer if they should or shouldn't create this product. Mean while we all have one less eco-option to clean our kitchens with.

What does this mean for you? Probably nothing if you are not passionate about this type of product, but what if you were? I am.

The good news. Survey companies, especially the better ones are now finding ways to detect if people are just clicking their way through surveys or actually reading them and answering the questions honestly.

Survey Addict

My name is Ecolicious and I am a recovering survey addict. I once had so many surveys in my inbox per day it took me hours to complete them all. I was a member of over 20 survey sites.

Was it for the money and rewards? Was it for the fame? Was it for the "I want to share my opinion" high? I would have to say it was a little bit of it all, but when I realized how much time I was wasting and how little I earned in return a light went off in my head and I began to realize I had to get a life.

Answering surveys is a fun hobby for me now but it doesn't take over my life. I'm not at the computer all day trying to earn as much as possible per survey or hoping I'll win the $1000 prize. I simply fill them out when I have some extra time, if I notice the topic relates to my interest and if the incentive is worth it to me.

I also know a survey addict when I see one. This person will spam referrals in every way possible. This person will live on the computer filling out surveys always hoping for the lottery. I want to tell them, "Go outside and enjoy the fresh air. You will find more happiness outside."

Am I completely recovered? No. On a stressful day when all has gone wrong I find myself drawn back to the computer and into the surveys in hopes that I will strike some money, a product review or the lottery prize. It's different this time though, because I know what the pull feels like and I know what it costs in the end.

Yes! You Can Even Make $100 or More For A Survey

But these types of surveys don't come a long very often and they usually involve more than an hour of participation as well as some sort of product testing.

My Survey Income

I'm not going to lie I have come across a few surveys that have paid me $100 or a little bit more, but these type of surveys come to me maybe once or twice a year. Because I have answered surveys for so many years I know how to spot a worth survey a little more than the survey newbie. During my addiction days I could make $10 a day, but I would do more than $10 worth.

Today I'm lucky to make a dollar a day, but then again I don't do this daily anymore. I also don't do many referrals, which is how a lot of people earn their money. I'll post a link here and there like on this lens but that is as far as I will go. I don't like to spam people.

Instead I just scout the better surveys and survey sites and fill those out. I'm not to worried about the money aspect of it either. I like testing products. Again this isn't often but it's nice when it happens. Still, I have tested cleaning products, new websites, kids toys, etc. I get this high knowing about a product before either people do and then telling a company what I think about it.

I liked it so much I now post reviews on my blog Gloria's Place.

We all need a little bit of hope.

A Day of Hope is a program of the CSU, Stanislaus Foundation that delivers baskets of food and turkeys to needy families in Stanislaus County for Thanksgiving.

What is a paid survey?

Just incase you have no idea what a paid survey is take a look at this wikipedia explanation below.

A paid or incentivized survey is a type of statistical survey where the participant is rewarded through an incentive program, generally entry into a sweepstakes program or a small cash reward, for completing one or more surveys.

A paid survey is used to collect quantitative information about the participants' personal and economic habits set against their particular demographic. Incentivized surveys are considered to be more likely to catch a wider and more representative range of respondents com...
