Paintball Sniper Game

One of the most interesting positions during a paintball game is the scenario of the sniper. Before we discuss the specific rules, remember it is very important to put safety first. Not only for yourself but for fellow opponents. When you are involved in multi-player games, try to get into the habit of noticing the other players. Not saying to be rude or noisy. Just look out for the newer player. It can really take away from the overall enjoyment of the game if someone is harmed. Some macho guys think they do not need to use any safety equipment. Also, make sure that everyone understands the rules. If you need to, put it in the rules about the safety equipment. Some of the newer players think they do not need the protective gear.

For this sniper game scenario you will need two teams with equal amount of members on each side. One team to be snipers, the other to be guards. The larger the playing field the better, but plenty of cover and bush. This would be a great woodsball game. The use of the sniper paintball gun will make a big difference in this game. Three balloons and a air horn is needed. After inflating the balloons, attach to trees or bushes, whatever is handy, throughout the field.

Decide on a set amount of paintballs for each player. The guards and snipers should have the same. Ten to fifteen for each paintball marker is a good starting amount. Start the game with the guards turned away from the field of play. Using the air horn, give the snipers 30 seconds to hide. Their position can not be within 30 paces of the balloons. Use the air horn again to give the guards thirty seconds to find and eliminate all the snipers they can without the snipers being able to return fire. After this, the snipers are allowed to seek and eliminate the guards.

The snipers will win by one of two ways . First, shoot all three balloons. Second, eliminate all the guards. The guards will win by eliminating all of the snipers. You may want to decide on a preset time limit. Something like a tie is declared after so many minutes.

Quite a bit of strategy can be used into this scenario. The snipers might need to work as a group to get to the balloons or reversed to get to the guards first. The guards will need to determine if it is more important to go after the snipers or the get to the balloons in that first 30 seconds of free time at the start of the game. Try using different paintball accessories and gear. This will allow you to become a better sniper. There are many differt scenarios in the sniper games. Of course you can make up your own games to suit your teams and the different playing fields.
