Paladins Peleg Chronicles Book Two - Christian Reading For Teens
The author of Foundlings, Matthew Christian Harding, describes his new book as Historical Christian Fantasy which takes place in the time of Peleg, soon after the people were dispersed after the Tower of Babel. Within its pages will be found dragons, an underground city built by the Dwarven Brotherhood, giants, a corrupt priesthood and lots of adventure. What you won't find is magic, humanism or support for the theory of evolution.
This book is a great start to a series for kids who like the Historical Christian Fantasy genre and for parents who don't want to worry about what their child is reading.

A Good Read-Aloud Book
If you liked Foundlings, Paladins will not disappoint! An excellent sequel to an already great book August 27, 2010 By Kaleb "dukes_daddy_14"
Matthew Harding left us off at a thrilling cliffhanger in his first book Foundlings. So when the sequel, Paladins, finally came out I was very impatient to get my hands on it! Foundlings was my favorite fiction book ever--exotic time setting, creatures that seemed like fantasy but are based on historical facts, unique characters ranging from a fearful dwarf to creepy dragon priests, and most importantly the godly examples and scripture woven throughout the book. All in all I didn't think it could get any better--well, Mr. Harding proved me wrong! He took everything I liked about Foundlings to a whole new level! I've read Paladins three times and I like it better every time I read it. The only bad thing is that it leaves even more anticipation for the next book. Not only does it leave you off at an exciting part, but it is also about to unveil a mystery!
Overall I am extremely impressed with Paladins and would recommend it to any teen or young adult. I can't wait for the third book...and his next series (hint, hint:)).

A Review from Homeschooling Today Magazine
Steve Murphy, Publisher
"Well done! A scripturally faithful, and yet realistically creative work. We tend to think of the men and women of old as sanctified cavemen. You brought them to life before our mind's eye. You should have seen my kids faces when I got to the last chapter and put it on hold till the next night. They couldn't believe what I was doing to them. We pray God's blessings on your work, will be happy to endorse it, and most importantly, look forward to the next book in the Peleg Chronicles." --Homeschooling Today Magazine, Steve Murphy, Publisher

This is an exciting Christian alternative to
novels with wizards, witches, and magic. I am pleased to offer my boys a book that will satisfy their fascination with dragons as well as help them visualize the power of God. Reading God's Word throughout the novel is just another way to help them absorb it in their hearts.

- Matthew Christian Harding And Family
- It was in the days of Peleg, when the world was divided. After the flood of Noah, after the tower of Babel and the dispersion, when men wondered where they were upon the earth, and where their fellows had gone to, when beasts were more numerous than men - predators in the wood, in the water, and in the air.

The Importance of Reading
Read to your kids
Reading is very important. If you know how to read you can learn anything. One of the best ways to turn your children into good readers is to read to them. Reading aloud is a fun way to bond with your children. My one rule was that I wouldn't read anything that wasn't interesting to me. No boring drivel. I started reading to my boys when they were very small and continued until they were teenagers and rarely all home at the same time. Today they all enjoy reading for pleasure. I know they would have enjoyed Foundlings and I bet your kids would too!
