Paleo Barbeque

The sun is out and you're meeting up with friends to have a barbeque. Good company, good food, good times! And although you might live a Paleo or Primal lifestyle you can still enjoy a great barbeque meal. It's just a matter of doing things a little bit different.

This lens is all about how to have a delicious Paleo barbeque with great food.

Meat

The great thing about the Paleo diet is that you can eat all kinds of meat (as long as it's grass fed). Pork, beef, chicken, ostrich or lamb; the options are endless. You could just put a steak or chicken breast and grill it and although that would be delicious itself, you may want to marinade your meat to give it some extra flavor.

To give you some barbeque meat inspiration: how about some dry rubbed barbeque pork ribs or grilled chicken wings with maple barbeque sauce. Or what do you think of this mediterranean marinated New York sirloin or, as shown in the below video, bacon beef burgers.

Grilled vegetables

As a another side dish to the meat and fish, grilling vegetables is a tasty option. Of course you can eat most vegetables raw, but by grilling them you can add some smoked flavor.

In the below video you can see how you can grill all kinds of vegetables with a simple addition of herbs.

If you're doing all the baking, cooking, basting and flipping on your barbeque you might as well get rewarded for it. So wear this apron to give your best suggestion on how to get that reward.

Condiments

To add some more flavor to your barbeque dishes you can make your own Paleo condiments. Over at the Paleo Diet Lifestyle blog there's an entire article on all kinds of condiments such as ketchup, horshradish, barbeque and worchester sauce.

There are also some condiment recipes from the Best Paleo Chicken Salad lens such as mayo, salsa, guacamole and sateh sauce.
