With over 370 recipes the "Paleo Recipe Book" is absolutely the must have Paleo Diet Menu Cookbook for people that have taken the plunge into the Paleo Diet. I have only recently found out about the Paleo Diet and it sparked my interest so I decided to do some research on it.

I am a guy that doesn't really believe in diets because I know they don't work. So what I have been trying to do is just change my eating habits, like eating a little less and eating some of the right foods.

What I don't want to do is totally give up the foods I like, just eat less of them and have foods that are healthier and that give me more energy as well. That's where the Paleo Diet comes in. To me it's less like a diet and more like changing your eating habits without having to starve yourself.

Paleo Diet CookbookAs I mentioned I have changed the way I eat. I'm trying to lose some weight so I've been exercising and eating better. However the one thing I would also like to have more of is energy and in my search to find out what foods give you more energy I run across the Paleo diet.

I got interested in this diet because it is not based on starving yourself thin, but on eating the right foods to lose weight. It's based on eating natural foods that come from Mother Nature.

There was a time in our evolution when humans instinctively knew the right foods to eat that kept us healthier and kept our weight at a proper level. But as we became more civilized and started to process food more we lost those instincts and started eating foods that gave us health problems like diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer.

The Paleo Diet is sometimes called the Caveman Diet because it is based on the foods that the cavemen of the Paleolithic era ate which were meat, fish shellfish, root vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds. Studies showed that cavemen did not suffer from diabetes, obesity, heart disease or cancer. It wasn't until grains and dairy products were introduced into our diet that these disorders started showing up.

So basically what the Paleo Diet is, is just going back to eating the foods that we at one time instinctively knew was good for us.
