What is the Caveman Diet or Paleo Diet Recipes? The modern Caveman Diet got its origins from the Paleolithic Period, Caveman Era, Hunters Gatherers or Stone Ages. The Paleolithic people were nomadic roaming in small bands. Cavemen were hunters gatherers never settled in one place for long periods of time Pre-argriculture they were always hunting for food where ever that food maybe. Seasons would influence food availability, food gathering and living conditions. Tools used were made from stones. During the Paleolithic period the Paleolithic people all foods were eaten raw. Their diet consisted: raw meat and natural fruits, vegetables, eggs, nuts, edible leaves, roots, nuts and seeds. The Caveman's diet did not include grains, potatoes, legume or dairy products. Many grains and potatoes are inedible raw. Uncooked they contained toxins. Milk was not consumed because cattle had not been domesticated. Therefore, cows and goats did not provide milk. The only sweeteners was natural honey, agave nectar and stevia. Strict Paleo Diet does not include honey or agave nectar. Some studies indicated that the Paleolithic diet consisted of one-half animal foods and the remainder fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts. Mother Nature Diet for optimum health.

Around 10,000 years ago, there was a world changing discovery. The discovery was fire. Fire ushered in a new age, The Neolithic Period or New Stone Age. Man discovered cooking. Cooking made many inedible foods edible. Grains and potatoes killed most toxins making them edible. The Neolithic period ushered in agriculture and pottery. Cavemen did not have to roam in search of food and shelter people became stationary. People were able to stay and live in one place. People grew their own crops and eventually were able to pen or domesticate cattle. Pottery made cooking easier and foods could be transported.
The modern Paleo Diet is back to Mother Nature and encourages the eating habits of the ancestral Caveman. A nutritious low fat and low carb diet. The Paleo Diet or Caveman Diet are Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Casein Free, Soy Free and Preservative Free

Paleo Diet and Anti Nutrients
Paleo Diet NO Potatoes, Legumes, Wheat or Dairy
Anti NutrientsDuring the Paleolithic Period Cavemen did not eat potatoes, legumes or rice. Nor did Cavemen eat dairy products. Wheat, potatoes and legumes contain toxins if eaten raw. All the food Caveman and women ate was raw. I am assuming that through trail and error Caveman discovered the toxins in these food and excluded them from there diet. Dairy products were not consumed by Caveman because animal were wild and had not be domesticated. A wild cow or boar was used for food and the skin and fur was used for clothing and shelter. Cooking potatoes, wheat and legumes kills most of the toxins but not all of the toxins. Dairy produces contains the anti nutrient, exorphins.
Enzyme Blockers
Called "protease Inhibitors" can block bodies natural enzymes in the stomach and small intestines. Pancrea can over compensate because natural enzyme are blocked by Enzyme Blocker.
Lectins
Anti nutrients not completely destroyed by cooking. Lectins can confuse bodies immune system and can cause immune system diseases.
Glycoalkaloids
Anti nutrients in potatoes. Glycoalkaloids are not destoyed when potatoes are cooked.
Exorphins
Exorphins found in wheat and milk. Morphine like food chemical and can counter-act bodies natural production of endorphines.
Glycemic Index and Paleo Diet Recipes
