Palm Island, Florida

I have been visiting the island for 18 years now and have watched its shape change as the ocean gives and takes sand to the shores. The island hasn't really changed all that much though, and its beauty has not diminished at all.

Because the island is on the Gulf of Mexico, the water is warm most of the year and the sunsets are spectacular.

This calendar features various aspects of Palm Island- the docks, the villas, the flora, and, of course, the beach.

Because of Palm Island's location, it boasts spectacular sunsets. The sunsets always set over the Gulf of Mexico and display pinks, purples oranges, reds, and yellows across the sky. The water sometimes reflects these amazing patterns onto the ocean, or sometimes it races across the clouds.

Since I have been visiting the island for so long, I have a huge collection of sunset photography. I started taking pictures of the sunset with my first camera fifteen years ago! There is some real personality to every sunset- lingering colors that fade slowly, or a brilliant swirl of colors that become navy then black quickly.

This calendar features my most recent trips to the island and captures the blues, pinks, and oranges that are often present in the sunsets there.
