A great place to repair your broken Palm PDA

If you are looking for repairs to your Palm PDA, you've come to the right place.

Chris Short is a one man company that fixes PDAs with speed and quality and at a reasonable cost.

You can contact him here.

What is the Palm Company Service Plan?

The Palm PDA is a great innovation. However, the company does not believe in repairing any broken or damaged devices. Basically, they want you to buy the extended warranty, and then when your Palm breaks, they just want to sell you a new upgrade with a small discount. That's it!

What do you do when your palm PDA breaks?

Send it to Chris Short for repair!!!

Directions on Shipping

Please send the unit to be repaired only (no accessories please), packed in a well-protected box - a case or cover is an acceptable accessory to include to help protect the screen.

US shipping - For small packages Priority Mail by the USPS works out best - they even give you the box and it is two to three day service. For packages over 3 pounds UPS is best.

International shipping - Air Mail is the best choice however it is not traceable and can take longer then expected at times. The worst case is it accidentally goes by ship, which will take significantly longer. You can clearly write Air Mail on all package sides, which will minimize potential problems.

Also include;
(1) A short note about the problem.
(2) Your name and return address.
(3) Your email address
(4) Your phone number

Send to;
Chris Short
147 So. Skyline Dr.
Mankato, MN 56001

Payment and Warranty

Before your repaired unit is shipped back I must receive payment.
I accept the following forms of payment, in order of preference;
(1) Money Order(US and Canada only)
(2) Personal Check(US only)
(3) PayPal use the email address ips@chartermi.net.(International)

Warranty: All billed for service and parts are covered for a period of 90 days. For device sales the non functional unit will either be repaired or replaced at the sellers discretion. This covers workmanship, reoccurrence of original problem, and replaced part malfunction. This warranty does not cover damaged during shipping, either to or from the point of sale/repair. This warranty does not cover physical breakage; damage caused by environmental exposure (i.e. rain, lightning, any spilled substance, etc.), any user physical modifications, or user modification to the internal ROM contents using applications such as JackFlash or similar applications. Cost of shipping is not covered and is the customer's responsibilities, typically $5(International will be more)

I ended up buying an M515 off of ebay. Being in Australia, by the time I posted it over and got it back it probably would have cost the same as this second hand unit.

By the way, I voted up your squidoffer for this lens!

I believe it is a hardware problem. Palm devices a re notorious for having miss registrations on the touch pad. I'm afraid you will need to replace the touch sensitive surface. You can contact Chris directly for a price quote. He is very good and very fast with repairs. Good luck.

Is there a user fix to get a palm (m130) to calibrate properly? Mine won't. It's about a cm off on the vertical. And when I try recalibrating it keeps going over and over and over. To the point where I didn't use it for a year. The kids play with it now, but it's annoying to them too.
