Pan Am Bags and Collectibles

Everywhere you turn lately, there are reminders of the Pan Am era of flight. The new TV series, Pan Am on ABC, hipsters carrying retro Pan Am gym bags, and even kids playing with Pan Am reproduction toys, including Pan Am Stewardess Barbie, a reissue of an old Barbie model. These reminders are everywhere these days.

But what was the Pan Am era really about? Glamor, elegance, the excitement and freedom of traveling around the world. Remembering an era where you could fly without an invasive pat down, and a wive's only worry when her husband was in-flight was that he would fall in love with a beautiful stewardess. We may not be able to return to this era, but we can certainly try to recapture the charm of it with these retro reminders of Pan Am's heyday.
