• 1New Race - Pandaren
  

  Playable by both Horde and Alliance, the Pandarens are a panda-like people who inhabit Pandaria. But I'm guessing you already knew that. Either way, they come with a laundry list of racial traits and can be used for multiple classes.

• 2New Class - Monk
  

  Available to every race except Worgen and Goblins, the monk class is a combination melee DPS, tank, and healer. Little is known about the class right now, but it looks like they may draw power and abilities form a Chi-based system.

• 3New Continent - Pandaria
  

  Untouched by war and freshly uncovered from 10,000 years of isolation, many new adventures await eager heroes at they venture forth into these lands. 6 new zones have been listed so far.

• 4New Level Cap - 90
  

  Explore the new continent and jump from 85 to 90 as you progress.

• 5Dungeon Challenge Mode
  

  Beating time based challenges for instance with your group can not only get you bragging rights, but some cool rewards in the process.

• 6Pet Battle System
  

  Ever wanted to see what Poke-WoW would look like? Well here's your chance! See all those critters you've been collecting over the years can now be trained up to duel against other people's pets for achievements and glory!

• 7Scenarios
  

  Story-based instances that require less traditional class based roles and more teamwork. Scenarios come in small objective based sizes and larger PvE battleground sized events.

• 8New Talent System
  

  Overhauled to create a simpler, but more effective system, the new talents are activated every 15 levels and allow for a mix-and-match style of spec building as opposed to the traditional version. This allows players to customize their characters to what works for them without needing to look up spec guides and worry about making the "right choice."

• 9New Raids & Dungeons
  

  The new expansion will unveil 3 new raids and 9 new dungeons initially. Level 90 dungeons will go straight to heroic. Scarlet Monastery and Scholomace will have new heroic modes unlocked for them.

• 10New Battlegrounds & Arena
  

  3 new BGs (Stranglethorn Diamond Mines, Valley of Power, and Azshara Crater) with their own gameplay modes have been added as well as a new arena (Tol'vir Proving Grounds).

• 11Class Changes
  

  Sweeping changes have been made to each class to emphasize a more thematic direction with talents and abilities. combined with the new talent system, it allows players to really customize core abilities.
