How to Choose a Photo Frame: The Display
Since the point of any digital photo frame is to enjoy viewing photos, be sure the view is satisfactory. Are the pictures vibrant? Clear and crisp? Do the colors seem accurate? There are at least a couple of more "technical" things to consider when selecting a digital photo frame.The digital picture frame will obviously need to support the types of files the user will want to display. JPEG is most common and then TIF. This is particularly important if video or audio files will be used.
Will the frame be able to accept the connection from the users camera or memory device? The digital camera and the digital picture frame need to be able to accept the same type of memory card. It is easiest if the device can work with multiple formats.
Images can also be transferred via USB port, wirelessly, or via Ethernet connection and the frame would simply need to be able to accept such connection.
Digital photo frames can be powered from wall outlets, batteries, or both. Electricity has the advantage of eliminating the need to purchase batteries periodically but then the location of the frame is restricted. Having the option of both allows the greatest flexibility.

- This is a great looking lens. I just bought a photoframe. Actually, one of the things that was very important for me was the remote control. The gift recipient is quite old, and I wanted to make sure the buttons on the remote were easy to press and not too small. I think we ended up with the 8 inch frame. I still think the menu is not that intuitive.
