Panic Attack Help - How to Prevent (and Eventually Cure) Panic Attacks
If you are looking for some panic attack help I sincerely hope I can help you. I suffered with panic attacks for 4 agonizing years. It may sound stupid, but my attacks actually ran my life. I based everything around my fears of having another attack. I am happy to say that I am free of my attacks (have been for the last 8 months).
Here is how you can prevent panic attacks.
Breathing
Panic Attack Help and Advice
A lot of people seem to believe that breathing does absolutely nothing to stop panic attacks. Well they are right...kind of.
Breathing does nothing to stop panic attacks when you are already having one. But it does WONDERS if you can slow and deepen your breaths BEFORE you have an attack.
When you feel the slightest hint of another attack coming on, become conscious of your breathing. Take slow deep breaths. You should feel your lungs fully inflate.

Meditate
Panic Attack Help and Advice
This is something you should do every day. I make it a point to always meditate for at least 20 minutes every single day.
What meditation does is quiet your mind. You probably already know that negative thoughts are huge contributors to panic attacks. Meditation will allow you to gain more control of your mind which will allow you to CHOOSE not to have those thoughts.
This is some of the best panic attack help you will give yourself.

Cut The Stress
Panic Attack Help and Advice
This is some obvious panic attack help which cuts down on the frequency and intensity of your panic attacks. That's why it amazes me when people fail to do it! For some reason (I used to be guilty of this as well) they continue piling on the stress when they should take drastic measures to cut it down to a minimal level.
(meditation helps a lot to lower stress levels as well)
Here is a great way to limit your stress: Set a worry time.
Set 10 minutes each day to get all your worrying out. Write down all the things you are worried about and that are stressing about. Then write down some actions you can take to solve those worries. This helped so much for me!

If you want to know how I truly got over my panic attacks then here it is: I got the Panic Away ProgramI have to admit that I am a little more lucky than most people.
