Panic Attack Symptom: A Good Friend

His Panic Attack Experiences

The symptoms of a panic attack are actually really varied. But, the one thing that they all share in common for certain is that you feel really, really irrationally afraid.

The fear is unwarranted, for example you have to give a big speech and you start to feel like you're actually going to die.

You're not going to pass into the next world, no one ever gave a speech and keeled over from it. But, the thing is you feel as if death is staring you in the face. It feels that real to you.

Common symptoms are feeling like you're choking, or that you can't breathe.

I have friend who recently told me that he had thrown up a few times in the last few weeks and felt like he couldn't breathe at the same time.

He's been under a lot of stress at work lately and I told him he was definitely having a panic attack.

He had a panic attack on an air plane a few months ago too and had to go to the hospital because he thought he was having a heart attack. He's 34 years old.

That is another classic symptom, racing heart. You truly feel all the feelings of having a heart attack.

He had just come back from a week long conference where he had given a number of presentations in front of large audiences and on top of that he had partied a ton and needed a lot of caffiene to keep up.

This type of lifestyle will always create a panic attack in the end, our bodies were not build for this much stress.

And...The Treatments

Feelings of unreality are another big panic attack symptom. You feel like the world isn't real, you feel dizzy and wobbly. This is often cited as called derealization by shrinks.

Let me tell you, I've had these before and it feels your world just collapsed. I felt like I was going faint, felt like everyone was looking at me, judging me. Anguishing.

Panic attacksgenerally don't last too long, for many people it's only around 10 minutes or so. But, those ten minutes feel like an eternity, believe me.

Maybe you can relate?

One panic attack symptom is a sudden urge to go to the bathroom. Another panic attack symptom is shaking. Others are excessive sweating and not feeling like you're in your body.

If you've had any of these symptoms on a recurring basis, you've experienced panic attacks.

Here's a few major things you can do keep them from happening. Number one, if you drink alcohol or coffee to excess, cut way down. Number two, if you don't exercise, start now!

And number three, and most importantly, find a good brain modification method. Check out Panic Away by Joe Barry, I have used it with great success.
