It's no secret that you need to exercise for a healthy body, but did you know that you need to exercise for a healthy mind?

Yep, that's right. Exercise, especially intense cardiovascular exercise greatly increased blood flow to brain. This increase in flow does amazing things to balance your brain and to create calming neurotransmitters.

So, get out there and walk, jog, run, crawl, bike, skip, etc. Even a ten minute walk can calm down most people.

Alternatively, things such as meditation, yoga, and tai chi were more for today's stressful times. They are no longer only for the New Age crowd, these arts are main stream, and they crossed over into the mainstream for a reason, that reason, they combat stress like nobody's business.

You are what you eat. You can't guzzle down five cups of coffee a day, go binge on martinis all the time and not expect to suffer the consequences.

I've found that these simple nutrients are the most important on the planet for increasing your serotonin levels and thus calming your mood and banishing your panic attacks.

Panic attacks can also be controlled by cognitive methods. What are cognitive methods? Well, this is really cool, think of these techniques are brain trainers.

You can literally train your brain to function in a supremely calm way no matter what life throws at you. It doesn't matter if you have a big presentation, or you're afraid in crowds, or if you're afraid to fly, these methods go right to the heart of panic attacks...or should I say right to the brain.

Think of it this way, if you had a safely net which could switch off your panic attacks like switching off a light bulb wouldn't you learn how to do it? Of course you would.
