Before I get into the real nitty gritty, let me tell you a short little story about me.
One day I was at work and we were doing some role playing (I was as a real estate agent). Well, it came around to my turn to do the reading out loud part, and I started to read.
Everything was fine, then out of nowhere, I started to seemingly
lose consciousness, I got dizzy, my voice sounded outside my self, my head was swimming, my heart was racing.
This ever happen to you?
For me, I honestly had never had anything like that happen to me before. I was experiencing a full fledged
panic attack.
Since that time, I've had a bunch more. And these are in non-threatening type social situations with good friends...my head starts to spin and I lose all sense of reality. It's really frustrating because you feel weird and it makes them feel weird too.
Ok, when this started happening I honestly had no idea what was going on. So I decided to do some digging on the net.
I discovered that I was displaying classic symptoms of panic attack. Alright, I thought, how do I beat this thing?
Turns out excess booze and caffiene are big no no's. So I stopped with the coffee and cut way back on the booze.
Also, exercise is a huge boost to calming your brain and nervous system, I started exercising intensely about 4-5 times a week.
