Alcohol affects the body in many ways and it affects brain functions and your liver and kidneys as the liver is what filters the alcohol out of the blood stream.

Alcohol will stop your body form working at top performance because the minerals and nutrients you body needs will instead be moved to the liver to help it metabolize the alcohol faster. This is why you tend to have a hangover the day after drinking. Alcohol also causes dehydration and this is another cause of a panic attack or stress on your body.
