Panic Attacks: Causes

There are a wide variety of panic attacks causes - known as triggers. Stress is a major trigger. While things like being laid off, facing foreclosure, or severe medical or financial issues can trigger panic attacks, they can also be caused by smaller stressors. For someone with a panic disorder, even a simple trip to the store or ride on the bus can cause a full-blown panic attack.

Physical issues can also cause panic attacks. For example, if you've recently gone off of a medication, you might consider asking your doctor if you're suffering from withdrawal. Some minor heart conditions, such as mitrol valve prolapse, can mimic the symptoms of a panic attack. Hyperthyroidism - an overactive thyroid - can cause panic attacks. If you regularly suffer from panic attacks, consider getting checked out by a doctor to rule out any physiological causes.

Panic Away - A Review

First, let me tell you a little about myself and my family. My mother was a teacher, my mother's mother was a teacher, as was my mother's mother's mother. It's not just my job, it's my legacy. I've been happily counting and coloring with my kindergarten classes for nearly five years now and I absolutely love every moment of it. It's simply my passion, and it's what I see myself doing for the rest of my life. I love my life and my career, and the smiles on the children's faces has always been all that I needed to wake up in the morning.

Six months ago, however, I was explaining the key differences between a circle and a square when I suddenly got a knot in my stomach. My heart began to beat harder and harder and I couldn't find my breath. The children watched as I gasped for a moment until I managed to announce an extra recess so I could sit down. I thought I was going to faint! Those children were counting on me to be a good teacher, and I couldn't do it without freaking out. I've never had this feeling before. Later, I learned that I'd experienced my first panic attack.

At first I had no idea where to turn. My research on the internet told me what a panic attack was and that I could expect more. I learned that panic attacks can occur frequently, and for many people are incapacitating.

I didn't know what to do. My job required me to be alert and to deal with a lot of commotion and chaos throughout the day, not to mention the tension that PTA meetings always brought on. I was a wreck. I learned that without treatment I would live in fear of the next attack, which would bring it on, which would make me even more anxious. It was a vicious cycle. As I began to seek treatment, I can't tell you how much medication and therapy I wasted my time with.

Then, a good friend told me about a program called Panic Away . At this point I was skeptical, after so many other options had failed me. She insisted, though. She kept telling me it was simple and very highly effective. I thought "nothing really works like that" but as a favor to her I downloaded the free demo and was really impressed and excited over what I saw. I ordered the full package and sure enough, in no time I was my old self. Who would have guessed that a simple e-series could do so much to save my career, my future, and allow me to see those bright smiling faces every day? The program really helped me to cope with my panic attacks effectively, and I feel so much better!

Now I wake up bright and early every morning. I march proudly into the classroom and stand in front of my class. I've really managed to get my panic attacks under control, and I have Panic Away to thank for the change. My only regret is that I didn't find the program sooner - it would have saved me quite a bit of money!
