Important!

Papaya prevents Heart attack!

Papaya contains 3 very important antioxidants : Vitamin A, C and E. These antioxidents help prevent heart attack by oxidising cholesterol from sticking into the blood vessels supplying blood to the heart. Usually when some one has high quanity of cholesterol deposited in the inner lining of arteries[blood vessel], it will eventually lead to the arteries becoming blocked and hence no supply of oxygen rich blood for the heart which causes heart attack.

Let see if you can remember what you just read ;)

IMMUNE SYSTEM

Since papaya is loaded with vitamin E and C, these antioxidants will also keep our immune system healthy. If we don't have a healthy immune system, we will not even be able to cope a little cough, its simple as that. So healthy immune system is like having millions of strong soldiers to fight the battle of disease for us. We must do what ever it takes to make sure that our immune system stays healthy and undamaged.

Papaya can cause Abortion!

Yes please do stay away from it if you are pregnant or are planning on conceiving. Because for many centuries, women have been using papaya usually the green one to have natural abortions. It is proven to have contraceptive properties in it which aids abortion. The exact amount of how much papaya is consumed to cause an abortion is still unknown however scientists have confirmed that unripe papayas do have possibilities of causing abortions. Unripe Papaya is packed with prostaglandin and oxytocin which aids in abortion. There is also no reliable evidence to prove that ripe papaya cannot cause an abortion so it is best to avoid eating both ripe and unripe papaya fruit during pregnancy unless you`re aiming for an abortion. It is also wise to contact your doctor regarding this issue before undergoing this papaya abortion process.

Are you a Smoker?

Papaya helps to keep the lungs healthy

Smoking reduces vitamin A in the body and this vitamin plays an important role in removing the toxins found in cigarette smoke, if a smoker lacks vitamin A, they are more likely to develop lung inflammatory diseases or emphysema. Therefore smokers should consume a lot of vitamin A rich food types such as papaya to prevent this risk.

REMEDY FOR ACNE

If you suffer from skin disorders such as acne, applying the juice of papaya regularly will help speed up the healing process. Applying the juice to wounds can prevent puss formation and swelling. It is advised to use the unripe papaya [green one] if possible because it has more of the important stuff that helps cure acne but ripe one will do just fine as well.

PAPA MASK!

Healthy home made face mask

*Using a food processor or a pestle and mortar, grind papaya fruit into pulp and transfer it into a bowl.

*Mix it with a few tea spoons of organic plain and no fat yoghurt, lemon juice, honey and an egg white.

*Mix it well until it becomes fluffy but not runny and then you will have a delicious smelling homemade papaya face mask which is very rejuvenating for the skin and also helps get rid of skin discolouration.

*If you have dry skin, mix an egg yolk into the papaya facemask instead of the egg white.

*Apply the mask on face for 15 minutes before washing it with lukewarm water.

*Splash your face with ice cold water for 20 seconds right after to lock the moisture and close the opened pores of the skin. Doing this also helps get rid of puffy and tired looking eyes.

*This mask is good for all skin types, so get going!

All fruits have good effect on the body. Fruits are naturally designed to be the main source of food for humans. So the most common ones like papaya have the most benefits. We were supposed to eat a lot of fruits since the beginning of time.

Excellent lens with great pictures and helpful information about this underrated fruit. I first came across the Papaya when I was working in Central America and the Caribbean, and it would be available on the breakfast buffet along with the other fresh fruits. I quickly found that I liked it and tucked in :) It's not so easy to get in the UK though and expensive. You did a wonderful job on this lens, blessed.
