I've never thought of adding shrimps for example to papaya salad but I might give it a try as I'm fond of papayas! I also love mangos with a passion; which explains why I couldn't answer to your duel. This recipe looks and sounds yummy... Mmmm... Hungry now!

Gosh, it sounds yummy but you know something? I'm not sure why, but I have never developed a taste for either papaya or mango. Can you help me overcome that? HUGS!!!

Papaya used for Som Tam is unripe and hard, and doesn't taste anything like papaya when it is ripe - I don't like it then either.

I wonder if they have this on the menu at our favorite Thai restaurant. I'll have to look next time we go. Sure sounds delish! I'm trying to "shrink" some, so this would be a good thing for me to order. (I know ... or make myself.)

When I visit Thailand, this is the ONE food I MUST eat. It's not a trip to Thailand without it.

Welcome to the Asian Foods group.

Shame on you, Rajays! Why is this excellent lens not in the Asian Foods group? I welcome you to join if you want.

I'm in Thailand right now and had this very dish with my lunch! I adore it!! It's cheap (from street vendors), nutritious, and delicious!
