When gluing the paper frame together I use this slight adjustment to get a more flat laying star. Join the area of the green dots closely together. The area with the red dots should over lap just a fraction, enough so one is setting on the top of the other. You will see how these adjustments work after making a few.

The paper frame at the above left was made using Christmas wrapping paper. I cut each tile identical and made sure each was folded at the same angles to get the symmetric look. The photo is inside the folded star. The one on the right has more depth.

The tea bag folding pattern I am using for this craft appears in this book that is no longer in print. A few sellers offer the book on Amazon. Shop eBay first if you decide to purchase this book. It is a bit over priced at $30.00. The original copy had several pages of printed paper tiles to fold. The used copies may no longer have the papers.

This is the first book that introduced me to tea bag folding. The pattern instructions are easy to follow and there are many ideas and pages for exploring.
