To be able to do paralegal work, you must have some kind of background for lawyers to hire you. It is important to get the right education and you can do it online too as there are a couple of universities who offer it online for their students. Although to be truthful, there are also some lawyers who do not require their paralegals to have a degree or certification in paralegal but they require some sort of paralegal training. Ironically, trainings are offered by schools who offer certificate courses in paralegals. I suggest you do both and have both the knowledge and the training in legal law before embarking on a journey to paralegal work as everything will be worth it as being a paralegal means having money in the pocket and in the bank.
